    The proc is a piece of ****. I don't care what your doing, unless you bought it for $250 it's not a worth investment. I wouldn't go for it, heck, it's still in the Pentium series. It's shared 1mb cache (most have dedicated 2mb cache to each core). The core2 series is better on battery life and more powerful. You can get a better deal if you go directly through HP.

    T2370 is Core2 based, and cache isn't particularly vital @ 1.7 ghz.

    That is a pretty good deal, mlwoo.

    T2370 is core dual. I think he is talking about the new chips which are core 2 dual.

    i think he means the more "cache" you have the more the "dual" comes into play.

    meaning you dont get the most out of having 2.

    Actually I think he is saying at 1.7GHZ the cache requirement is not very high. The higher the speed of the processor, the more cache you need to buffer.
