...it'll be an awful shame if they don't mention The Streak at least once. I mean, a clip in one of the countless montages of celebratory footage would suffice. I'd like to think that an NBA team winning 22 straight (a significant part of which they did without their star) could be memorable even to non-Rockets fans. I'm not going to watch, because awards shows make my face hurt. But if someone does, let me know if The Streak gets some play. If not, it'll simply give me another reason to hate the sports media.
would've been on the highlight reel of sportscenter for the next 2 years if it was from one of those places. such a shame.
ESPN is a shame. I had to listen to that fat rookie pitcher (Joba?) from the Yankees do Karaoke for some reason.
Eh, I dunno. The fact still remains that we, 1. didn't win a championship, and 2. didn't break the existing record. Regardless, 22-straight victories in this era of the NBA is a momentous achievement and should be recognized as such.
ESPN Trick Directions: 1. Take one hand (right or left), while you flex your other arm, like you are trying to show off your bicep. 2. Take the one hand open up and raise it up in the air and slam it all the way down on your bicep. And you see what I think about ESPN.
If they dont at least mention the Streak..then im going to do bad thing to Justin timberlake..very bad things!!!
Wow, they just did a whole highlight mix of the year in sports and not one single mention of our 22 game winning streak. Maybe it was just all a dream?
anyone in Houston see any "streak" shirts around and would be kind enough to buy and ship..........paypal ready
Face it we aren't a bandwagon team far from that, we have Yao that's everybody's problem because Yao isn't one of those power dunkers who will get us into ESPN, if we landed Kobe we would be Bandwagon team.
Yeah, i got me one. I thought they looked pretty sweet. Got it off rockets.com As much as i loved the streak it didnt break a record or win a championship. So i understand why it wouldn't make the espys. Not that i care, the espys might just be a tiny degree better then the nickelodeon kids choice award in value.
ESPN? The same guys who anointed the '05 USC team "The Greatest CFB Team of All Time" only to have Vince run all over them in the Rose Bowl?
