The Rockets on Friday added Justin Williams, who played briefly with the team last season, to the Summer League team, but he is not expected to contend for a roster spot.

    ------------------

Does he have any chance of making the final roster?

Kinda answered yourself without knowing. He's just worse than Loren Woods filler trying to impress for other teams.

Daryl Morey is environmentally conscious. He likes to recycle when it comes to fringe guys.

Idk, that guy always looked pissed whenever he was out on the court for us last season... which I liked, tbh. I'd take him if Deke decides to call it quits.

It's been a week of summer league and Justin couldn't get on a team. Morey feels sorry for him and adds him to the team to showcase him.

If Morey really wanted him, he could have gave the invite, last week. There was roster space.

Justin could have joined, because no other teams are inviting him.

our backup PF and C positions have yet to settle their contracts.

on offense i'd rather have justin williams on the floor instead of deke...

i think this is morey getting some insurance for the frontcourt. you never know how these things pan out...

doesn't that apply to everyone at the point? heck, I couldn't do much less on the floor on the offensive end than deke does... :D

I think Justin played in the Orlando summer league as well. I want to say he was on the Magic team.

He's not a bad player, he has hustle and strength. Just not good enough to beat out the people ahead of him.

Edit: It was OKC that he played with. I knew I remembered watching him play a bit.

He certainly does.I was disappointed that he didn't do well enough to go beyond his 10 day contract.

That's good news for Justin. Hope he'll able to prove something and this is a second chance for him to take this opportunity to show what he is capable of.
