    Presidential Memorial Commission

Proposed George W. Bush Sewage Plant makes ballot

A measure seeking to commemorate President Bush's years in office by slapping his name on a San Francisco sewage plant has qualified for the November ballot.

The measure certified Thursday would rename the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant the George W. Bush Sewage Plant.

Supporters say the idea is to commemorate the mess they claim Bush has left behind by actions such as the war in Iraq.

Local Republicans say the plan stinks and they will oppose it.

Here is an idea. Build the Presidential Library on top of the sewage plant, yielding the George W Bush Sewage Plant and Library. That would rock.

It's a terrible idea. Funny as it may be, it's disrespectful to the office of the president and sets a dangerous precident. And it only serves to further divide the country.

The best thing to do is just let it go.

Is there a more divisive president in the last 100 years?

Still, it's just disrespectful to the office. Let history be his judge.

I agree, It is a funny idea to get it passed and ready to go, but to follow through is very disrespectful to the Office of President. He is terrible, but this is a bad idea if followed through.

Let it go is right, time to move on from the past 8 years.

When did America go from "Throw the bums out" to "respect the office"?

    What did I miss?
