There was and is nothing to report the Rockets are not trading Tmac, he himself and Morey made that clear. Stephen A. is just reporting old new that has been circulating since this thread was posted.

and hopefully this should end any tmac trade rumors once and for all.

i'm not even talking about morey, but les seems extremely committed to tracy as I'm sure tracy is to les and the organization.

I just realy hate it when posters on here don't know what they're talking about and EXTRAPOLATE from a guy who screams like a guy is pointed to his head and think what they're saying is right.

tmac and yao will be the foundation for the next 2 years. by 2010, there will be changes.

dude read what feign, morey, and les said and then maybe you can understand what i tried to say.

it's about the rockets. i already said I would trade tracy dude.

i'm trying to help you here. you're so easily swayed by the media that I think you don't know the difference b/t garbage and truth.

all you need to answer is this, do you honestly believe the rockets would be better off trading t-mac for lesser players vs adding a third star to the mix ?????

why are you saying t-mac isn't getting it done ? this poor ROSTER is not getting it done. need i remind you we have started rafer alston and chuck hayes ??? who the hell do you think could have done more with those pieces than t-mac has ? despite injuries and all the mess, we still get a 50+ win team every year. we are on the verge of being special, but IMO, trading away an all-star for spare parts isn't nearly as good of a solution as doing what we can to land a third star. do not discount that every team to win a championship has 3 or 4 guys that can do damage when you let them get going. we do not have that, so stop blaming t-mac for it. and why the hell does t-mac get all the blame anyway ? what about yao ?

all i can say is i am glad you aren't a GM if you don't feel a third star is the best solution to our problems.

Your logic is great....but too bad for you, this isnt NBA Live 09

we're better off trading tmac for ~equal market value WHILE we can and then adding that 3rd star..for the rest of his career, tmac is one hard foul away from shutting down the rest of the season..gee, i'd love to keep that characteristic on a player my team depends on

and could have done more? imo, we havent done jack squat..quit bringin up that 50 regular season wins bullcrap up...hooray to you if 50+win seasons and first round exits are fantastic to you!

and the subject here is tmac not yao..hes much different than tmac for the reasons ive stated already

tmac gets the blame jus like players like lebron, kobe, kg, dirk, wade do...if thats too hard for you to understand, then i have nothing else to say

...except we just traded away one of our two stars, so in the end what we'll have is still a duo. Your logic is great :p.

Joe Dumars stated on realgm.com that there is a 50-50 chance that a major trade will happen before the start of training camp. He followed that with saying that nobody on detroit is safe. Like it or not I think if the Rockets can sing Rip that this might go down. I think that the Rockets believe that the motion offense can work even better with Chauncey & Rip..Mcgrady does love the pick & roll...

McGrady: "I think Rockets need help"
Clutchfans (not Rocket fans): "SICK TRAITOR, HE THINKS THE ROCKETS ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR HIM"

Kobe Bryant: "I want out of L.A. Phil sucks, Lakers sucks, screw you all"
Laker fans (before start of 2007-2008 season): "Sick person, get him outta here"
Clutchfans and Laker fans (after midway pass 2007-2008 season): "Kobe Bryant is much more of a warrior than McGrady, he shows compassion and never whines about anything. He just wants to win."

McGrady: "I'm very happy in Houston and I want to win"
Clutchfans: "HE THINKS HES TOO GOOD FOR ROCKETS. HE THINKS HE CAN'T WIN HERE"

    Hypocrites make a bliss.

Senator TMac-Carthy, if you hate Clutchfans so much, why don't you leave?

Maybe the boys over on the Pistons forums will be more to your liking when Tracy gets there... then again, they're used to winning, so probably not...

I heard this rumor on Calvin Murphy show 97.5 couple of days ago. He stated that Stephen Smith reported Tmac said he wouldnt mind getting traded. He loves houston, but if it comes to being traded to Detriot, he does not mind n he just wants to win.

I think he's going nowhere, its been said before n lately that Rockets wants to build around Yao n Tmac, with so many new addition n new coach i doubt Rockets wants to make any drastic changes.

But i wouldnt mind getting Hamilton n Billups or Prince in return. Rockets have to get Hamilton no matter what for Tmac. Just for Giggles:

    Yao
    Scola
    Prince or Battier
    Hamilton
    Alston or Billups

Looks like a stronger lineup than Tmac to me. I think it will help both teams, but better for Rockets imo.

If your reference is to Senator Joseph McCarthy, you make no sense. McCarthy was an anti-communist that made accusations that there were Communist spies within the government and yet, had no evidence. Yes, the user you replied to may be exaggerating to some extent but he is correct in other ways. The grass is always greener on the other side and you will always see that with any forum.

Ironic that you flame the user for stating his opinions about how this board is hypocritical, but yet find it perfectly alright to state your opinions about how much you dislike Tmac.

Personally, I would be highly surprised if Tmac gets traded to Detroit.

flamingdts and his ilk are quick to call into question Rockets fans loyalties on flimsy evidence such as posts critical of Tracy McGrady. The McCarthy comparison is valid.

You must have missed the stint where he was bragging about carrying around a list of known and suspected "haters."

If that is the case, then I agree. Your analogy is valid and he would be best leaving this board.
