Trading the XBOX 360 for a PS3?

I love movies and I cannot stop watching blu-ray movies!! Of course if you already have a HTPC then that aspect is not needed.

 

Do you like some of the 360 exclusives? Or have you mostly been playing multiplatform stuff (Madden, NBA 2K, Assassin's Creed, BioShock, etc.)?

If it is the former, then you might want to keep the 360. If it is the latter (meaning you won't miss playing 360 exclusives), then you could probably get by with just the PS3. Of course, it would be nice to have both anyway, even if it means keeping a 360 for just 1 or 2 exclusives. But I'm assuming you'd rather not keep two consoles for whatever reason (EX: cheaper to get a PS3 this way).

BTW, from your wording, I'm assuming this isn't a "Should I get a PS3?" thread. That's a different question.

 

I did it last year and don't regret it one bit. I actually sold my 360 to a guy on here.

 

From what I remember your gaming library consists of mostly multi-platform games. And its MGS4 that you crave. Its a no brainer.

I have both, and i never touch my PS3. If you get rid of your 360, you will miss it because it is so much better

i've send mine in once, it only took 6 days, and during that time, I didnt even touch my ps3

i even bought gta4 for my ps3. I stopped playing after 2 days.

 

haha looks like people are still bitter over Final Fantasy going to 360.

 

Maybe you just don't like GTA4?

What are the best PS3 games you've actually played BTW? I'm sure if I only played Haze, Lair, and Untold Legends, I'd probably not want to touch my PS3 ever again either.

 

I loved Resistance, but it even took me a while to get into that. I just prefer the gameplay, the online play, and the controllers

 

I like em both...but the 360 is a better overall experience with content and competition.

I own both. I use my PS3 tons more, both for games and for movies. I pretty much only have the 360 so I can play Lost Odyssey, Gears of War 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Tales of Vesperia. I can see myself living without my 360. But I can't see myself living without my PS3.

You haven't really seen a movie until you've seen it in hi-def.

 

I stopped playing GTA4 quick also. I played the crap out of GTA3. I struggled to get into GTA4. I don't know why. Maybe I outgrew that kind of game.

I'm thinking I'll just get in the mood for it at some point. I didn't feel like playing RPGs for a few years... but now I'm playing Lost Odyssey.

 

Ya, I am the exact same way. RPGs are like a once every 5yr type thing with me. Legend of Mana being my last. Chrono Trigger before it.

 

Get both.

If you play games for any sort of regular basis, you'll probably come across something you would like to play for the other system.

 

I have two friends that were always Sony fanboys and they own both systems. They both say they almost never touch the ps3 except for movies. Xbox live is the best online gaming system by far of the two and playing with other people is what keeps the 360 strong. Don't do it brother. Keep that 360.
