Hopefully we can get Manute Bol to come out of retirement.

Another possibility is trying to get Charles Jones back on the team. He would provide some much needed veteran leadership to this team. I think he may be pushing 50.

We'll have the mid-level exception, which should be about $5 million.

I think that the rockets need to pick up a veteran player that produces and can be a leader on the floor. Not nescicarily a scorer , we got plenty scorers, but someone that can be a leader on the floor and in the locker room

Our payroll was around $49 million this year, and $8 million+ is expiring with Williams, Willis and scubs. This will be somewhat offset by everyone's raises. So, if we have any cap room, it won't be much. Besides that, I'm pretty sure that we'll resign Williams (though not at $5 million) and a couple of those scrubs. We do have the midlevel exception, so I assume we'll go after somebody.

For clarification, if we had just let Shandon walk, and not taken on Rice, how much would we have to go after Rashard Lewis?

We could lure Earl Cureton if we could convince him to take the $5million exception...

Why would we bring back Walt? Loyalty taken a bit too far? I'd rather resign Torres, if that's necessary.

We should bring back Moses only if he gets to play against women and celebrities, since he dominated them at the all star game.

Chicago just waived Greg Anthony. Would the Rockets be interested in a point guard?

While we're at it, would you know if Orlando's Steve Hunter is any good?

He's rarely used, and quite young. He is listed as 6-10 and 224 lbs.

Could we convince Charles to give up his cushy studio job and rejoin the Rockets. His intensity and rebounding are just what this team needs and he gets along with a lot of his teammates, except uppity SFs for some reason. He could provide the veteran leadership that he did when helping to develop Francis, and look at Stevie's rebounding numbers.
