well good for San Antonio if a bunch of old people come down there to see a whale. I'm glad 'tourists' don't come to Houston.

Hey, I like San Antonio as it is still a part of Texas, but my armpit is still apart of my body as well.

ok, I know it's fashionable to bash san antonio and all, but I can't roll like that. George Gervin's right...the NCAA Final Four doesn't keep coming back over and over to an armpit city. any reason why houston didn't get the Final Four??
and yes, san antonio is still the most popular tourist destination in tx. the food (albeit nowhere near the variety/complexity as houston) is good, the people are extremely hospitable (much fewer assholes than houston), traffic is non-existant (though the 281/1604 exchange is the stupidest thing I've ever seen), and the women aren't what you guys make it out to be.

I've been with some absolute 10s here. sure, there's some fat chicks here, but last time I checked houston has a higher % of fatties than SA.

as for the spanish...yea, there some bad spanish here. and many hispanics don't speak a lick of it. cool with me. black guy in SA that can speak spanish? like candy from a baby...

otoh, our nightlife f****ng sucks, there always construction, the river is dirrrrty and has rats, our politicians are corrupt, and there are waaaaay too many speed traps.

See, I come in with legitimate complaints against this turd of a town and you resort to personal insults. Continue to talk and keep convincing me I'm right in my assessment!

I think that's the best advice all summer. Except it's about to rain up here in Denton where I am. While we're talking about endorsements though, nothing is worse than the Mavs ones I must endure up in the metroplex. SAVE ME MANGO TREE!

well there are about 3 times more women here also........and I really havent heard of anyone losing sleep over the final four not coming to Houston.

I don't bash anyone/anything for no good reason other than the guy next to me is doing the same thing. I'd be bashing George Bush if I wanted to do some 'fashionable' bashing.......

I just truley dislike SA for the reasons I already stated.

    lol. no prob.

I didn't say the food was great. its good. in no way does it compare to houston. not even close. hey, I can't do mex everyday, either, but there is some very good mex food here.

the thai's not bad, the pho's very good. the korean's not plentiful, but the few that are here are a+ (ilsong garden).

dolce's great, copa (!!!!!), la marginal (cuban/pr) is exceptional, palm, biga (yummmm), and a few others are exceptional - SILO (OUTSTANDING food, even though expensive @ night).

beto's is hit or miss, love or hate, psuedo-central mex/guatamalan/brazilian/etc... I'm not a huge chinese fan, but people claim golden phoenix to be good. I don't know. mr & mrs g's is very good soul food.

I could go on, but I think u get the point. not nearly the selection (or quality) of houston, however, much better than a lot of other places.

to each their own, my brother...

we could fashion-bash bush all day, yes. lol!

as 4 there being more women in hou, uh...yea. bigger city. that said, I'd take my top 3 SA women I know versus my top 3 hou women I know. I keep it at top 3 cuz there's SO much more variety in hou for women (there are nowhere near enough asian/indian/beautiful black women here!).

How come we don't get Houston Rocket HEB commercials? At least Kroger or Randalls. Can we get a Sams Club please?

that's one thing I definitely do not miss about houston. maybe (hopefully) it's changed, but when I was growing up there, every brown skinned person was called mexican or...more accurately, "mezcan", and looked down upon.

like I said, I really hope that has changed in houston.
