same was as landry bro. that's the comparison i meant. to the general fan, i'm sure nobody wows at the name of greene. that's the same way with landry when he came up and made a name for himself last yr. that is what i meant. i think greene will have the same effect and MAYBE, he'll be that other guy on the perimeter to help out tracy and alston
I don't think this kid thinks any shot is a bad shot. Hope he was taking all those shots because he knew he was the only guy out there with an offensive game. He was impressive showing an inside and perimeter game and he saved the best for last with that sweet bounce pass in motion to Leudden for the game winner. I dare say that was the best game played in the summer league by any of the 2008 rookies.
AB's patheticness was the 2nd notable story of the game. When you play 36 minutes at PG, handle the ball a lot AND your team shoots well and hits 34 FGs, 4 assists doesn't cut it. Neither do 9 fouls and 6 TOs.
Greene leading scorer in the Summer League, and Harris is the leading rebounder Looks good doesn't it? DD
batum's a project pritchard admitted that and said if batum has any hope of seeing floor time soon in the nba it'd be through his defense not offense.
outside of tracy, yao, scola, he'll be playing with guys like those. so hopefully, dude can provide that bounce off the bench. greene-landry combo off the bench? again, adelman's offense loves aggressive players. greene looks like that type of player. morey is slowly putting together a very athletic group of guys on this team, a far cry from a few years ago.
not related to the rockets, but that dude bayless from portland, dude is gonna be a stud. i dont' think anyone can stop him going to the rim.
I know how much you like Harris and I am a hopeful fan as well. A backup 3 who can rebound and hustle as much as he does would be such a great addition. But I am not yet convinced he has any kind of short game and I don't believe he has that Mario Elie kind of 3 point shot. I hope I am wrong cause we need a player like Harris who plays hard every second he is on the court and if he can hit an open 3 you got a winner. But as of right now if I had to take 1 player not under contract from this S/L team it would be Robinson and not Harris. Harris would be my second pick. Oh and if Harris is really only a 4 than I have to say we are already full and I would keep Hayes over him.
Mario Elie was 30 or 31 when he joined the Rockets and became a viable NBA rotation player...so Mike Harris has alot of bouncing around the world to do before making it then...
Russell Robinson = Kyle Lowry-lite Good defender, a little short but bulky, attacks the basket, and has good court vision.
I really hope we can find Harris a spot on the roster, hometown kid that reminds me of a taller athletic version of Chuck Hayes.... with a little less defense of course.
