Any rational person can tell you we got rid of Swift's worthless @ss in the process, and that Rudy Gay is overrated and anyone who says it was totally lopsided towards the Grizz are just fantasy bball talkers. We could have gotten more but getting rid of Swift was a bonus anyways. AND NO WE WEREN'T KEEPING HIM.
I don't get it. How is this a fail? The bird seems to have avoided the fate of getting rotisseried, unlike the ones he's looking at. Isn't this a win?
YOu can still be right but I feel better about you being wrong after today's game. Summer league, I know, but still, 40 points on 12-20 shooting ought to count for something.
when i looked at the pic i thought of the bird as wanting inside to join his friends but too dumb to realize they were cooked. but i think we can both agree that carl bought a one way ticket on the failbus...
Does Donte Green resemble an actor or what? Seriously, like the first time I saw his face on Rockets.com the first thing that came to my mind was an actor in the movie "crash" or something like that. But meh, 40 points in a very impressive shooting night. We have yet to see it all. In the video on clutchfans.com there weren't any driving to the rim basket points (except the winning dish). So I'm assuming he rarely drove to the rim or that he was fouled each time. But reading some of the comments in websites that talk about greene. It would seem like one of his major critcism is his poor shot selection. But players with poor shot selection do have insane shooting nights (Kobe Bryant, McGrady, etc.). So we'll have to wait and see Donte's driving in the rim ability. But still, his 40 point night honestly did resemble McGrady a lot (except with more 3s). Shooting over defenders. Especially his game winning pass. You would expect him to go himself, but instead he made a terrific pass off.
I didn't manage to catch the whole game, but from what I've seen, he did drive a fair number of times. Made a couple of nice kicks out to teammates. His game does remind me of McGrady's, only with a lot more 3s. Definitely, he has to improve his shot selection. But imo, the only thing that might hold him back from producing against NBA quality starting line-ups right now is purely mental. He has all the tools. Donte Greene is for real.
But but but Arthur had 23 points tonight!!1!11 And for the first time he was under 8 fouls! A career low 5 Plus he got 6 boards (matched his previous 3 games!) sux to be an Arthur supporter right now? Especially since next years 2nd round pick that we take might even end up being better than him
If you think the purpsoe fo this thread is to argue Arthur is better than Greene, I don't know what to say.
