im a rookie so i cant make a new thread but here it is Breaking News: Brett Favre asks for his release from the Packers no link yet but it is currently on OTL First Report on ESPN talks about possibly playing for Minnesota, Houston and other teams....
i got the teams from the previous post in this thread about possible teams he will play for sorry about he confusion
The mention of the Texans comes from an article a few days ago where ESPN mentioned every team in the NFL and how Favre would fit with them. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=williamson_bill&id=3474482 He's not coming to Houston.
Ya...the Vikings definitely make the most sense but if the Packers were smart, they should only release him contingent that he won't sign with Minn.
The season tickets just got sent out. Mine got delivered today. It maybe they weren't set up to sell them yet, or were overwhelmed by trying to get out the season tickets. If you want, check out http://boards.houstontexans.com/index.php for buying tickets thru individuals. Also, I will be selling (face value $65 per ticket) 2 seats + yellow parking pass to most games. My oldest son is heading to college this year, and he won't be using his ticket for most games. Our seats are in sec 353, mez level endzone. Email me thru the board if interested.

Adibi signed. Sorry...I know this isn't "breaking news", but this has been the longest summer of my life. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/5889824.html Texans agree to four-year deal with rookie LB Adibi Va. Tech product was an All-American during senior season By MEGAN MANFULL Copyright 2008 Houston Chronicle Texans rookie linebacker Xavier Adibi agreed to a four-year deal Tuesday with the Texans. He is expected to sign the contract Wednesday. Adibi, 6-foot-2, 224 pounds, was teammates with the Texans first-round draft pick Duane Brown at Virginia Tech. Adibi started 40 of 47 games in college. He had 291 tackles and 11 sacks. He became just the second linebacker in school history to earn first-team all-America honors (American Football Coaches Association) as a senior. Adibi, 23, is the third rookie to agree to terms with the Texans this season. He was selected in the fourth round with the 118th overall pick.
Yeah ...right now, I'm in southern Indiana...HolidayWorld with the kiddies...A guy is standing in line for snacks, and I see his Colts shirt....I smile,...he has no idea...
That was my first game too!! My buddy was working for the Texans and gave me to tickets. I'm so ready for this season. I graduated and got a good job, so I should be ready to buy some tickets.
AFC South Can Alex Gibbs whip the Houston Texans' offensive line into shape? In an effort to jump-start the running game, Houston hired former Broncos offensive line coach Alex Gibbs. Gibbs was instrumental in teaching the zone-blocking scheme in Denver and succeeded with a somewhat unknown offensive line. The Broncos lived by the motto that the system is more important than the back. However, Houston has spent high draft picks on four of its top five offensive linemen and it's time for those picks to start paying dividends. They should under the tutelage of Gibbs. This will be a new-look training camp for Houston fans. The emphasis with the line will be on quickness, agility and adjusting in space. Houston tried to implement these concepts before in the Kubiak era, but Gibbs is the coach who can actually pull it off and, ultimately, give the Texans some semblance of a consistent running game. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insi...lumns/story?columnist=green_jeremy&id=3492505 Nothing new really, but good to hear something about the Texans.
