Can the world survive the seemingly irreconcilable rifts that exist between people, in this case Muslims vs. non-Muslims? We survived communism vs. capitalism, but those were clashes of socio-economic ideologies, with communism eventually collapsing in on itself. Muslims vs. non-Muslims seems more dangerous because it is a clash of religious ideologies. It seems unlikely that either side will collapse on itself because these are religious matters, not practical matters, and people when tested in their faith will not yield until death.
