Don't know if any of you are into the Sweet Science, but there is a killer boxing card at the Toyota Center on Saturday September 6th that features Houston's two greatest local boxers, Juan Diaz and Rocky Juarez, in separate bouts as co-headliners. It will be broadcast on HBO as part of the "Boxing After Dark" program. Tickets went on sale today at the Toyota Center website. My podnah from the H-Town Jukes, "Longwind" Larry Bernal, and I will be sitting 5th row ringside. I think we gonna be doing some serious drinking that night.
Love Diaz but I will have mixed emotions when he faces Mike Katsidis who is from down under but reps the mother land
Can't wait for this day, also my boy jonathan morales might make his pro debut. Will cheer for my boy rocky juarez and expect to see a brawl with juan diaz. Will buy an extra ticket for moe so he can witness boxing in the venue.
