agree, i only want to make espn because we earned the larry obrien trophy
not because we made a big splash in FA or trade.

glory is all delusional without achieving the ultimate goal.

Deke must have felt exploited last season for playing so many minutes on the vet min salary. Now he wants more.

it's better for Deke to be part of the Rockets's assistant coach.
He can be brother of the team

I want a reliable backup center like Deke until Yao has one season where he plays 70 plus games again. If not for Mutombo then we wouldn't have made the playoffs the last 2 years. Even at 42 years old he's still one of the best defenders and rebounders in the league plus he's a legit 7 footer with a massive wingspan.

This time last year, I was not happy because Rockets were bargaining with Deke about the new(past) season's salary. I thought Deke deserved what he asked last summer. However, I think now it's time to part with Deke and move on. He's really old and do need to retire. You just can't always count on a 40 years old center forever.

I think Chris Anderson as backup c is an interesting idea, what do you think?

The Celtics grabbed Patrick O'Bryant so we lost out on the only young, inexpensive backup center with potential. Dorsey can easily replace Hayes, but he can't even come close to replacing Deke.

I hope not.....Although his defense is good, he is a too much of a liability on offense.....I feel that Loren Wood deserves a chance to produce, although he does not have as good as defensive skills, his height at 7'2 will intimidate and his left hand offensive skills will be great.....Our defense has always been good, its our offense and bench play that has sucked!... I flinched everytime Deke bobbled a rebound or a point blank pass.....I hated that his man on defense was allowed to free lance and double team our wing players because his offensive is not only minimal but completely non-existent!
