The best was when Vince dropped 35 on Wally and told Flip Saunders, "Flip, you better get this whiteboy off me or I'll go for 40"! And after the game Wally says, "Vince Carter thinks he's so cool styling and profiling. I guess he doesn't respect my defence".
come on everybody. maybe wally is arogant, but he was wright both of the times. Jackson shoudn't have played for gs this year (ok so he did'nt play that much but he was on there roster), gs shoud not have mached our offer. so he is wright about that. And the wolves should have beaten us, the rockets arn't good anymore. where no championship contenders, we are a lottery bound team. so a play off team like the wolves SHOULD have beaten us. Houston SHOULD beat teams like: Bulls, Denver, Memphis. and if we beat the wolves it was a surprise. so wallt was wright with both comments.
Don't you remember this summer at the Goodwill games, during a practice he got into it with that Puerto Rican towel boy and talked some smack and shut him down bad. To bad he was only 9 yrs old and weighed 85 lbs
I agree with Wally, GS are a bunch of clowns, but that's the fault of their GM, not them! Wally is full of himself but at least he's not doing the Cat/Francis third person thing. He's a ballhog too, so he'd fit right in on the Rockets, we could trade KT for him and we'd be even height and weight wise. That way KG and his teammates wouldn't have to put up with him. I've convinced myself already that this is a good trade. About Vince and Wally -> remember that time Vince was on that team with Tracy McGrady and Vince wouldn't share the ball much so Tracy left? About poor defense -> folks who are Rockets fans don't have a lot of room to be criticizing other teams for poor defense. We are the king of poor defense judging from opposing teams shooting percentage against us. We have the jack of all shots at Wally's position, Mobley, who is the non-passing reincarnation of Sam Cassell or the no-defense reincarnation of Vernon Maxwell.
yeah but the wolves won that game... Whatever, his offense and the 'zone' makes up for his defenseless prowess.
He's on the money concerning Golden State, but as far as the Rockets remarks go I disagree to a certain extent. Our record is bad, but the team isn't. It's like someone said on the radio the other day. Our record is a joke, not our team. With Francis playing all year we'd be fighting for an eighth seed. On any given night this team can compete with the best of them. Does that mean we're better than the T-Wolves? No. They should have had a good chance at beating us, but not automatic. They barely won in the beginning of the season against pretty much the same team. With the way they're playing yeah a victory means more for them than it does for us, but that doesn't mean we're just gonna let them run over us.
Wally's demeanor and comments indicate someone who has never been wanting in his life. Rich white kid arrogance. Lucky enough to be drafted by a good team. I don't begrudge him the good life. Yes, he's a hard worker, a solid talent. But God, how I wish the Bulls had managed to get him via trade. Oh, how I wish. Maybe a little bad luck would teach him to appreciate what he has and not act like such a jerk. Anyone read the ESPN the Mag article on Wally? Even his own teammates had to learn how to like him.
I'm glad the Twolver are getting their ass kicked. They have lost 9 of their last 11 if I am not mistaken. Wally and Garnett can talk as much trash as they want, but come playoff time they are going to fold like the punks they are.
