I know there was an older thread about bringing in Livingston for a look but couldn't dig it up... Knee forecast must not look to bright if they basically cut loose their #4 overall pick from just a couple years ago who had shown so much promise http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3481262
Funny to see when looking at archived links on ESPN that the Clips medical staff said in January that they expected to see him back on the court by the end of last season. Couldn't find anything about a major setback but something must have occured to go from that prognosis to completely cutting ties with him....
I think we have to consider this guy's NBA career to be over, in essence. Some want to call it a "freak accident," but actually it was just freakish looking in what was a very, very common part of the game: a jump stop. He'll need to be making thousands more of those if he wants to play pro ball, and now his knee will be even weaker than before.
that's an insult to Penny, a NBA all-star multiple times. Livingston was but a bench player during all his 3 yrs w the Clips

Seeing how horrible the Clippers' luck is, one could forecast that Livingston will go on to have a prosperous and effective NBA career.
Livingston needs a year away from NBA drug testing and a healthy dose of steroids if he's ever gonna make it in the Association.
I still think he has an outside chance of making it in the league. I believe the Clips are waiving him not just because of the injury concerns, but because they need to renounce his (and other's) rights in order to make another major offer to an outside FA (Okafur, Josh Smith). Evan
