Brand to Phili is GREAT news on Landry front [A little inside info]

Maybe they're getting a trade lined up that includes Brand to the Rox and Landry to the 76ers?

we need alot more then landry and berry to get a ring. kinda sad knowing we prou wont do jack squat this off season.

 

Lets not forget that last season's squad IF HEALTHY could've probably gone to the WCF. I don't think we need to tweak the roster that much as long as Adelman can watch our superstars' minutes and everyone else stays healthy.

But if we have another season of injuries, I say we bomb our roster and start fresh with non-brittle players.

 

I remember reading your post some days back and wondering what info you had gotten from your conversation with Morey. This really is pretty good news b/c now Landry's agent does not have as much leverage on Morey and the Rockets. Btw I give you a lot of respect for keeping that info to yourself, a lot of people don't understand how much inside info getting leaked can screw the chances of their team.

landry will be a year older and a year better, more cofident. barry is a solid veteran and one of the best shooters in the league, with an incredible high bb iq. the addition of these 2 plus dorsey greeene.

As for the Clippers they need to turn to Portland as option 1A they cant possibly build a team around Baron a 9 year veteran now unless they want to continue to live in the Lakers shadow.

 

I reckon berries are an excellent source of nutrients and should definitely be looked at as a 'secret weapon' by the coaching staff + trainers.

so many great news on the trade front, because NONE of the teams in the west is getting stronger, which is great. San Antonio did not get Magette, another great news!!!!!

With both the warriors and clippers weakened, we should now hope for darius miles to play 10 games next season to increase Portland's salary cap (his 10+million of salary is not counted towards Portland's cao because of a supposedly career ending injury.
) , thus screwing up any plan they may have.

I also hope that Brand's defect to the east will slowly show marquee players to consider eastern teams if they wanna win a title, thus weakening the san antonios out there.

 

I know Brand is extremely talented, but if we got him that would mean Scola goes to the bench and I don't see that happening.

 

the brand singing means the market is weakening for landry. the rockets will wait for someone to make an offer, then match.

if no one makes an offer, they will offer something like 2-3 mil.

the maggette signing is great because he didn't go to the spurs or jazz. however, the spurs may have more interest in bringing back barry.

 

But the Clippers have a hold in PF now dont they? They can offer Landry enough just to steal him from us?

 

Clippers will most likely throw most of their money at restricted free agent Josh Smith now- per Ric Bucher.

The Rockets suck so bad before with J Ho and Chuck Hayes at PF, so anything looks better.

How does Landry compare with Leon Powe or Paul Millsap?

 

I seriously doubt they're lining up a trade for Brand to come to the Rox. He went east for a reason. The clips offered him the same amount the sixers did.
