    Oklahoma City, Wow, not exactly a glamour location. I would guess that most NBA players would not be too excited about going to that market.

    I can't imagine what this must feel like for Sonics fans. As a Pittsburgher, we nearly lost the Penguins but I can't imagine what it must be like to REALLY happen.

    P.S. Oklahoma City Outlaws is the best choice

    i have an interesting perspective; i am a lifelong Rockets fan {going back to the Elvin Hayes and San Diego} and have also lived in OKC from 1966-1993 and 1997-present.

    i actually agree with most of the posters on this board ; this was handled horribly and i apologize to my friends in Seattle.

    what i am growing tired of are people ripping the city who have never been within 500 miles of it.

    i've spent a lot of time in Dallas, Houston and Memphis and lived in Phoenix from '93-97.i would prefer to live in OKC to any of those; less traffic,crime,lower cost of living,etc.

    Did you sign up so you could say that? I agree, OKC is unfairly maligned. The fans there just want a team to call their own (though some go a little too far rationalizing why its okay to steal Seattle's team). Seattle lost its team because of decisions of a couple of business men: Schultz, Stern, and Bennett.

    If true, Barons is indeed a horrible name. Though I kind of like the jersey...but it does have that designed by a photoshop junkie look to it, so I'm going to call hoax for now.

    I think Outlaws is the best name. Then they should trade for Travis Outlaw.

    no, juan , i didn't . i've been reading this board for years.some of it i enjoy and some of it i don't {people watching or listening to a game and posting play by play for example};

    i really could care less whether the NBA comes to my city or not ; my loyalties will ALWAYS be with the Rockets

    i frankly am already tired of hearing about it ; 75% of the local sports tonite was highlites of the OKC/Orlando summer league game. crap, i'd rather hear about Sooner football{ as you can tell from my username i' m an OSU alum!!}

    i've never posted because i thought some sort of subscription was required. i also tend to read and post more on college websites!!

    I like the name Barons. Outlaws sounds minor league to me.

    I've been to OKC many times. It used to be part of my sales territory at a former job. Over the long term, I don't see how it can support an NBA team. I see them ending up like the Grizzlies, a team in a city none of the players want to live in.

    Couple years ago, but not anymore. Tulsa went downhill fast.

    That's crazy talk. Only people from Tulsa feel that way.
