The other "most" thread got me thinking. Who made the least of their talent? I think there was a thread somewhat similar to this about NBA failures, but this one talks about people that actually had talent to be pretty decent. People immediately come to mind for me such as:

Rafer Alston - Whatever happened to the former playground legend skip-to-my-lou? Is he still in the NBA?

    Mirsad Turckan - What can I say. Could've been a H. Turkulu

Rodrick Rhodes - Refer to previous comment. Minus the turkulu stuff.

William Avery - Awesome PG at Duke but failed horrily in the NBA. Horribly.

Loren Woods - Reminds me of Tyson Chandler....except that he gets no PT at all.

Im tryin to think of some more but mind is blocked. Anyone know a good site for NBA draft archives?

The ACC has a bad record there.

David Thompson only played 8 years in the pros. Drugs ruined his career. He could've had a much better career if he wasn't on drugs. Giddyup's right. He didn't play up to his potential.

To me Shawn Kemp's demise is one of the worst wastes of talent I have ever seen. The guy went from perennial all star to complete loser. Tragic.

    Has to be Derrick Coleman.

Hell, half the 1986 draft could count as well.

Well, his choices kept him off the court entirely. I'd say that is complete ruination.

Craig Ehlo. He went from being a Rocket to being in just about every single Michael Jordan poster. Hey, wait a minute, that's kinda cool :)

I guess we are talking about players who ruined their lives off the court.

Anyway, Magic Johnson has been quoted as saying he was scared of playing Michael Ray Richardson.

(I don't think he has ever been quoted as saying he was scared of playing Larry, Michael, Isaiah, Dr. J...)
