I coudn't find any links online, but saw the signs at my local James Coney Island restuarant about 5 cents dogs. This deal is only good at the DOWNTOWN LOCATION on July 8, 2008. I will be there. Anyone else hear about this. Its their anniversary special!!! Im sure there will be a limit but hey, thats freaking cheap.

i saw a billboard of it on Shephard, a few weeks back, I bet its going to be packed, i remember they did this a few years back, 5 years ago maybe? it was crowded like a mofo, and being in downtown also? I bet they run out of hot dogs by like 2-3pm.

They've been doing 85 cent coneys on select thursdays, but they don't seem to be advertising it anwywhere but in store. I wish I hadn't lost that flyer.

The traffic will probably be so ridiculous it won't be worth it. Just buy a pack of Hebrew Nationals at the store.

And in other news, on Friday if you dress up like a cow, you can get a free combo at Chick-fil-a....

I wasn't going there but I passed by. It took me 3 lights to get through that intersection and as mentioned, the line was out the door and around the corner.

it reads good on paper. in practice, you might as well be at the New Orleans Superdome the day after Katrina hit waiting on relief supplies. ok...maybe not that long of a wait...but definitely not something you could do in a lunch hour. my guess is an awful lot of homeless people are in that line. the only way i would go is if they had "brownie...your doing a heckuva job" greeting people in the line and trying to facilitate the movement of the people. err...maybe not as that line wouldn't move.

Ok guys. Just got back from eating at the Downtown JCI. We waited about 25 minutes in line, ate and left in less than an hour. Of course, I got there about 3. There was 3 of us; we had 14 hot dogs all the way with cheese, 2 bowls of chili with chesse, 2 bags of fritos, and 6 drinks (3 small bottles and 3 small fountain cups, for a WHOPPING $1.90. The parking alone was a $1.70. They had ample staff and the overall expierence was great. Can't wait till they do in five years!!
