So, the whole point of this thread is that you're a typical male.

Enjoy it. Embrace it. Soon you will have a belly and man t***. Ride this one as long as you can.

Sorry I didn't see that a guy specifically asked you what your full job description entails. If you were a citizen of south america then yes that is good salary, if your an american traveling (away from home) thats about average.

"It's relatively safe as long as your not in the jungles outside of the cities" - signed Daniel Pearl and the U.S. Military.

Your advantages/strengths lies in your US passport and your wallet. :D

Uh, I've already been to different countries and seen different places. I know how it is, your mind is already warped from being there so long you can't see the difference between being a manwhore and being an american with $ in another country. My friend doesn't have to visit prostitutes to get laid. I'm curious though, where do you find your typical women at?

Ignorant example. What the hell does Pakistan have to do with South America?

Thats a statement I would expect you to make. I'm not going to try to convince you b/c already in your mind you know exactly how every girl down here thinks and acts. Until you meet me, then hold off on the generalized broad statements that you percieve as facts. I never show off the fact that I'm a foreigner, I would much rather blend in (which is easier b/c I look the part). Also I never flaunt money, I am very low key, especially here. Being in security, the most important thing for me is to be as inconspicuous as possible.

I don't know what countries you have been to or for how long. Unless you have specifically lived in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, or Venezuela for a set amount of time then you truly have a grasp on how it is. It is NOT a free for all and the women are all over you unless
    a) you are lying to them telling them you are looking for a wife, or
    b) your paying them to be with you
like I said before you do have an advantage, but if you think that your going to walk into a place, tell everyone your American and have women all over you, your sadly mistaken (unless your doing either a or b). Especially if your telling them up front that you want no strings attached.

I know your trying to separate the whole manwhore thing from being an American in another country, but why? Isn't it the same thing? What is the difference?

Since I live in these places I have assimilated myself into the culture. I find women where you would typically find them: malls, parks, libraries, restaurants, clubs, museums, everywhere. Perhaps it is my fault for being to vague. I have one night stands, but the majority are girls that I will date for a few days and see about 3-6 times.

Sex can be an addiction like anything else. There is professional help available as well as support groups. Despite what some guys say, it's good to realize that what you're doing is not the right way to live. Aside from the risk of diseases, it's not the way physical relationships are supposed to work.

From a woman's point of view, "friends with benefits" is a miserable situation. They may try to tell themselves they're OK with it, but deep down they will get too attached. It's natural for people to form relationships. I wonder if even men feel more than they admit. We are all human. One-night stands will make people feel cheap, used, and miserable. Using a woman for her looks and body = using a man for his money and prestige. It's all using, it's all bad.

Probably what will really get you away from it is a transfer to a different kind of job where you could remain in one city, preferably in the U.S. Otherwise you will be faced daily with what you know is a temptation for you. Best of luck with breaking the cycle.

Was Daniel Perl the rule, or was that an exception? Not only that, he was someone who (for his line of work) sought contact with known terrorists. The average American traveler is not doing that.

The average American traveler is also not the U.S. military. It is actually relatively safe.
