I'm starting this thread rather than a new one every time I'm asked to be on. They've asked me to come on today around noon -- maybe around 12:10pm or so. It will be on Nuño & Ken Hoffman's show. You can listen online if interested... http://www.1560thegame.com/ Thanks, Clutch
Please let Les Alexander know that we don't wanna see another 1st round exit in next season... so pay some luxruxy tax to get Corey Maggette or something
Thanks, Clutch. We appreciate a heads up anytime you are going to be on. I don't care for all their silliness (hey, I'm old), but I can wade through it if some meaningful basketball is going to be discussed.
http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2008/07/free_agent_frenzy_hardly_but_f.html Any clues to as to what this big trade is?
Did they get rid of the podcasts of past streams, or did they make them ridiculously hard to find for some reason?
It was short but insightful. Your insight that Morey is trying to drive down the value of Landry while holding the right to match any other offer is on target IMO. Did I hear you correctly?: Head is history, and Hayes is on the bubble.

This is for those who can't watch that video right now: Clutch was surprised about the three free-agent targets: Barry, Horry, and Cassell. He wouldn't mind Barry, because he could bring what his brother Jon did for the Rockets; however he is 37 and you never know when his career could end. We are definitely trying to move Luther Head and possibly Chuck Hayes, but that's just speculation by Clutch. Pertaining to Horry, he thought Horry was at the end of his career and would not contribute at all, but it would be nice for him to end his career here, giving him a chance to play with another great center. Another free-agent talked about was Pietrus, but it is said that he would command the full mle. Again, this is speculation. That would make it a difficult situation, because of the Landry camp. Pietrus has potential to be a great lock-down defender and has some good offensive skills, but his BBIQ is questionable. The Landry camp is asking for more than the biannual. The Rockets asked Carl to get his knee tested and this kind of ticked off the the Landry camp. Clutch said, when you are targeting your own free agents, you can talk their value down. He thinks Morey is trying to do that here with Carl Landry.
I'm not too keen on Pietrus. IMO what you get from him now is the best you can hope for in the future. I'd rather have a look at another frenchman in Gelabale who's noted for his defense. I like his potential more.
