I had a keylogger on my computer that was excellent. I am at work right now and cannot remember the name but when I get home I will look and see if I can get any info on it. Just get ready for your virus protection to start going crazy.

It was called Handy Keylogger. It was great. It recorded not only key strokes but grabs of images of sites visited, anything copied and pasted, every password, etc. That's the one I would recommend.

While this is a good solution to a problem, I wanted to know if you've tried just asking the little guy directly. If there is enough trust, you shoud just [be able to ] come to him and ask "Hey... please only do [stuff you DO want him to do on the computer]. Don't do anything you would think is wrong." No?

I am not deterring you from doing this logger thing, just wanting to know if you have tried other alternatives. I have two daughters and I know I would be upset if my nephews or cousins did something I wouldn't approve of on my PC while I wasn't looking.

I will say, I am worried about ther online privacy and what they do, but I think the logger is a safety net I think will help you in the long run. Is he showing signs of doing "wrong things" on the computer?

This is exactly why I put the keylogger on my desktop. I asked my nephew and his friend that he had over if they had been looking up anything that they shouldn't because anybody who would login to the 'Guest' account would get these sexual pop-ups and ads. Of course, he and the friend denied it. I put the keylogger on and found out the truth. I presented them with snap shots of websites they had visited, what they had typed, etc. No denying it anymore and they've stayed pretty clean since then. :D

First check his browsing history......and get Net Nanny or a product like that which limits the access to pron.

Kids these days are computer/Web savvy. Most of them know how to delete browsing histories, cookies, etc.
