The pacers are going to buy him out if they can't trade him. He is a decent point guard on a bad team that has been forced to do too much.

We send them Head, Franchise and Woods, a future 2nd round pick and some cash. They cut Francis and Woods. They clear cap space and get a decent guard in Head.

We get Tinsley who is very much a rafer type clone, but having them both is a better situation than having Head Francis and Woods.

why not just wait. Pacers said that if they can't get any takers they will buy him out.

i saw this too. at worst he's another rafer. i guess that sounds bad until we think about how bad the rockets were when rafer went down.

he's a capable floor general, i wouldnt mind having him around for cheap. at least he is a better second option than francis, when brooks can't match up.

He is a huge headache to maintain to put it mildly. No need for him despite his court vision and passing skills.

He's another Rafer for sure. Rafer hacks away with a knife in a club parking lot. Tinsely fires a gun at a strip club parking lot. What's the big diff?

If he had one year left, maybe. But he's got 3 years left. He is Rafer with a post up game, a little bit extra.

The unfortunate thing is if Tinsley really wanted to play he could be a Chauncey Billups Lite, Chauncey without as good a jumper. But he seems content being a screwball.

    classy

rafer never hacked away at anything. That was a completely false story and has been proven to so. You may not like a player, but that doesnt mean you can knock him for something he NEVER did.

exactly. people are so fast to bash rafer but they are too blind, stubborn, or flat out stupid to acknowledge how well rafer runs the team.

The rockets would be better having tinsely come off the bench then brooks, in most instances.

    Come'on man!!!

    Rafer is innocent! http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3271057

or we can have thing like this...

What if the person hanging with Jamal was Yao Ming and he got gunned down by some gang bangers toting Ak-47's around... China might drop a nuclear bomb on Houston and it could signal the Apocalypse. SAY NO TO JAMAL TINSLEY!!!!! HE WILL CAUSE ARMAGEDDON!!!!

    [IMG] == looks like ===[IMG]
and will lead to the End of Days b/c Yao Ming will meet his untimely death b/c of gangsters trying to get after Jamal, there by causing a retaliatory and preemptive strike from China.

they are pretty much on the same level....

He's a much better penetrator, Rafer's a much better shooter....so i don't see any reason for getting him.
