The Rockets have won three of four, all over playoff teams. They have a chance to win three in a row for the first time since November. There's only one problem: the Clippers are next. Will the Rockets find it within themselves to defeat the mighty Clippers and gain at least a season split, or will the Clipper's ownership of the Rockets continue (they've won four of the last six against HOU)? After beating the Jordans, Wolves, and Celtics, the Rockets should rise up and defeat this team. They are at home, and the Clips will be on the second day of a back-to-back. However, the Rockets rarely win games that they "should". Here's two predictions, one with Steve and one without: With Steve: Clippers: 99 Rockets: 93 Without Steve: Clippers: 89 Rockets: 80 Then they'll probably beat the Lakers next week...
No Maggette, No Odom, and Brand is always contained when we play them. I say we win by 12. Kenny will have a big game as usual and so will Mobley. Lets just hope the Candy Man doesn't have a career day. 102 Houston 90 Clippers
i see your score line and i raise you... 5 points for the rox (to be taken from the clips ) with steve: rox 98 lac 94 minus steve: rox: 85 lac: 84 We're losing games in the 1st Q. We're winning the "battle" (more Qs won than opposition/outscoring them for a larger part of the game) but loosing the "war" (can never recover from the initial barrage). the clips are going to be knackered after a back-2-back in a long, intense season. They will not be expecting any D from the rox (like most of us ), and will get jumped early (reverse of normal form). This in turn will cause turnovers/f.b points. If we can get a gap in the first half, i have faith the boys will close out the game, and the clips will not have the steam to catch us. Unless of course we are tanking. Then we want to loose the "war 2001/02" but win all the battles along the way.
The Kandi man might not play either... http://www.latimes.com/sports/baske...226feb25.story?coll=sns-ap-clippers-headlines
All these players out....I guess I shall say the obvious.... LET THE JOCKEYING FOR LOTTERY BALLS BEGIN !!! DaDakota
Bear in mind the Clips suck on the road. And they beat Memphis tonight. Meaning that they are supposed to lose their next 4-5 road games, and they will be playing us on the 2nd of a back-to-back stretch. I think we beat them by 10. Usually, I'm the biggest pessimist, but LAC is one of the worst road teams in the NBA.
So, let me get this straight. Olowokandi (Rocket killer), Magette (Rocket killer), and Odom (occasional Rocket killer) are all out for tomorrow. With or without Steve, the Rockets have got to win.
if thats the case than i think earl boykins will have a carear high 42 points 11 assists and 11 rebounds 5 steals and 2 blocks...
Defense wins, if we see it again tonight, we will have streak going. I said DEFENSE! Last game, I saw some of the best D of the year. We were actually suffocating at times. I loved it! Please let it continue.
uh oh they have alll there good players out thats even worse im predicting a 20 pt lose! lol jk we will win by like 4 and eric piatowiski will have about 35 pts
I'd be so tempted to put my knuckles through the wal if we lost this one. Look: Maggette out Olowakandi out Odom out Dooling rusty Next best C on the team? Rooks/Brand Their 2nd night of a back-to-back They were also shorthanded on the back to back We had rest We hopefully have Francis KT is not overmatched size-wise They started some guy called Fowlkes last night Griffin, Cato,Willis and Collier are the 4 tallest players on the court If we simply make them work for their shots, they'll be asleep in the middle of the 3rd. If we don't win, it would be so so so so bad. Should be: Rockets 97 Clippers 79
