Entertaining little preamble on ABC between DC United and Los Angeles Galaxy if anybody was watching. DC won 4-1 with Luciano Emilio netting two goals. But let's get onto the Euro final! I predict Spain will win 2-1.
I am glad Spain won. Germany didn't deserve to be in the Finals. I think if Turkey wasn't as depleted as they were against Germany, they would have been in the finals and could have very well won the whole thing.
LOL! I hope you are not serious. I love the Dynamo, but any team in the Euro 2008 would have wiped the floor with them.
Spain just kicked some German ass today. They were by far the better team. It was nice to see them finally put it together for an entire tournament.
The truth finally comes out! Congrats to Spain anyways... it's not often that a team I root for actually wins. Torres finally shows up when it really matters. I'm proud of my little boy.
Sorry but Ballack is one of the most overrated players in a long time. They talk about this guy like he is Zidane, or a superstar of that caliber but I rarely see Ballack dominate a game, the few times he did was back in the 2002 WC. Why is he holding a knife? OJ? haha. Props to Spain. I actually picked the winner correctly for the first time! Spain overcame their history of badluck and played beautiful soccer most of the tourney, hopefully Holland's next.
And all Ballack did yesterday was hack hack hack. Spain's quickness and skill just made him look bad all day long. He did nothing of consequence...and I loved every second of it.
spain dominated but i was nervous 'til the end. the germans do not usually give up but i saw some drooped shoulders from the german side towards the end. i don't think anyone from their coaches to the players to the fans will try and tell you they were the better team. spain may be in for a little run with this team, like the french teams of zidane, if the next coach can keep the team playing as this one did. senna and puyol were rocks and that allowed the spanish magicians to slice the germans apart in the midfield. torres, arrrrrrrrrrrgh, pulled a schweinsteiger on poor little philip lamm. spain really plays solid and beautiful soccer.
¡Viva la madre patria! Long live my mother country! A well-deserved win for the Spanish. Why the U. S. and A. is so obsessed with "statistics" [ESPN kept showing percentages on made passes, etc.] I will never know. Who actually cares about these things?
