Agreed. I liked Ratatouille much better than Cars. I've got high hopes for Wall-E. I can't wait to see it! Now if only I could ditch work and get paid for watching the movie....
I can't believe how they managed to turn a box with tank treads and Johnny 5's head into one of the cutest most adorable characters I've ever seen and I haven't even seen the movie yet. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-_2oCXR7TTU&hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-_2oCXR7TTU&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/KZLpXRroU7I&hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/KZLpXRroU7I&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pVRgfDSAGOA&hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pVRgfDSAGOA&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
All I remember is the previews for this movie made me want to kick babies. Now it's getting rave reviews?
Just saw it this afternoon. No one will be disappointed. Very well rounded movie. You actually feel very strongly about this machine. He's so human. Props to Pixar. I haven't liked a whole lot of the slew of CGI movies lately. This one is actually quality. It's not all animals and fart jokes. Me and my gf decided a while back that we are going to name our next dog Wally (Walrus). Not because of this movie, but because we already named our first dog Penguin.
"Hey laser lips! Your mama was a snowblower!" I'm taking my daughter to see Wall-E tomorrow, shes been wanting to see it for awhile now . When I took her to see Kung Fu Panda they showed an extended trailer, and she really freaked out . I cant deny, I'm looking forward to it also .
I saw it this morning with the wife and kids. Really good movie, great visuals, great message. I'd expect nothing less from Pixar though. The short film before it was also very good.
I took my brother's 2.25 year old to see Kung Fu Panda last weekend and she loved it, so this weekend its Wall-E.
From what I've heard it's not only a masterpiece in animation, but a masterpiece in Science Fiction...that's pretty big. It's also by Andrew Stanton, who was behind Toy Story 1 and 2, Monster's Inc (Wrote) and Finding Nemo (Wrote and Directed) so that's a plus. I was pretty much hooked when I heard the back story behind the idea for the film...that gave me high hope.
definitely visually stunning, meh story. worth seeing; i liked ratatouille alot better. definitely didn't blow me away like the reviews seemed to indicate. i did get a kick out of the short before the movie. i wish they made a full-length movie out of those 2 characters.
^Agreed, and I thought Ratatouille sucked...It was alright, nothing special...had some cute moments, but wasn't one of the better Pixar films, IMHO...It was slow in the beginning and the hippy, liberal, tree hugging theme was not as bad as Happy Feet, but there... "Presto", the animated short was hilarious...
What he said. Granted, I'm a foodie, so ratatouille should appeal to me more. Very enjoyable movie..............nowhere near the quality of Finding Nemo (but that is a pretty high bar).
