Greene pulled up and walked in just before me... so he's here. Got about 15 minutes before the press conference starts... I'll probably be able to ask only a few. Any questions you're dying to know?
Does he like green eggs and ham? I kid, but something I'd like to know is if Greene will be in the rotation (or if he thinks he will be).
For Greene: Who was the hardest player for him to defend in college? For Dorsey: Is the comparison between you and Ben Wallace fair? These will say a good amount about both of them.
ask him if he plans on making the opening day roster and ask him if he can take it strong to the rim or is he going to sit outside and take contested 3's
what part of his game does he think he needs to work on to excel in the nba.....also how does he think he fits into ra system?
Dorsey: Are you going to focus more on your improving your offense or defense this summer/next season? Greene: ...Draft Reactions? How do you feel about being on the Rockets?
Questions for either of them. 1. How do they feel they fit into the NBA, what can each bring to the table? 2. How would they feel if they were sent to the NBDL to get some seasoning? 3. What do they need to work on to become a solid NBA player? 4. Who are they most excited to meet in the NBA? On the Rockets? 5. Who do they want their games to emulate? 6. Will they both play in the summer leagues? DD
for dorsey, "did you smoke a cigarette after what you did to the longhorns' frontline" from a horns fan
Ask Greene if he thinks he can maintain his playing style on the NBA level. Ask Dorsey what he thinks he'll have to do to make the team.
for greene: heard you want to pattern your game after tracy. how excited are you to be playing on the same team with him? do you think you'll get a lot out of being his understudy? for dorsey: what attributes of your college game will translate best into the pro game, where youre not bigger than 90% of the 4s and 5s you'll match up with?
Greene: How does it feel to know that you're going to be playing with Tracy McGrady, a guy that you have patterned your game after while growing up? EDIT: Nevermind, I see that's already suggested... Greene: You took nearly half of your field goal attempts from 3 last year. With your athleticism and with the Rockets need for a slasher and a creator, do you feel that you can adjust your game to be more balanced between long range shooting and penetrating? Dorsey: The Rockets have lacked a bruising defensive PF in recent years and the general consensus is that's the type of player that Yao Ming needs playing next to him at times when the going gets tough. Do you feel that you can be that player? Dorsey: How do you think it will be playing next to Yao Ming? At 6'7" you can't be used to seeing guys who are a foot taller than you are.
With guys like Tracy and Yao and some of the other vets on the team where do they think they'll fit in the offense and defense coming off the bench? What is the one thing you want to contribute to the team most to help it win?
