As of yesterday, I can no longer recieve or send SMTP. The moron support person tells me my $500 MS Exchange Server is now apparently junk as far as they are concerned. I am so mad.   Even worse, they just changed the settings and left me to fumble around for two days trying to figure out why my Exchange Server was 'broken'.

Has anybody ever run into this? How did you fix it? Changed service? New provider? I need quick help, as all my email more than a day in both directions have been bounced.

    Are you a spammer?

Or have they now blocked it off entirely?

Also, you could just get a virtual server and have the email sit resident on your computer, no need for an exchange server...

I retired my exchange server, and pay $4.99 a month for email..

They said they they don't use port 25 at all. My Exchange Server is secure - no spam.

That article is from 2004, so most likely this is something different.

This happens all the time to people. You need to email Comcast to be un-blacklisted. To avoid that in the future, you may consider getting another IP and rotating them on occasion. This, unfortunately, is pretty common.

That's good stuff :D, Royals. How's that sensor on the XPS coming along? Got it to work?

If I had to elaborate, that means it might be too advanced for you, but either way: configure your router to send port 25 and translate it out to Comcast networks as another port. If you need more info, perhaps you shouldn't be doing it.

Are you on the business-type Comcast? If you're using it for business purposes when you have the connection as residential, you might have to upgrade; you might be violating your terms. It's just an "if".

It works fairly well, although I only set up the finger print reader for 1 user.

I got hit with a virus that sent out emails, so Comcast blocked my Port 25. You can call them to have it removed, but it's not with the main Comcast customer support. That took a while.

You can also use Port 587 to send outbound email, which they do not block.
