I like Greene as a prospect. He does need to work on his dribble game a little and shot selection. He's kinda in the Gerald Green mold in terms of development. I kinda would have prefered Jordan in the 2nd rd as a development guy with crazy atheleticism. Overrall, at least they didn't get a short for his position guy. I would like to see green in the summer and d league to start off.

Dorsey can set solid pics and dunk the ball really hard

Trust me, you don't want Jordan.

I just hoping Green can develop into a young Horry within 2 years. He was a stud back in those days. If he can do that, then This draft would get 6 stars/5 stars in my book.

So he gets under the opponents' skins. You could see it as fire, or attitude. Personally I tend toward the former. :p

Dorsey went to #33 and DeAndre went at #35. If we picked DeAndre we would have had no risk cause he is a second round pick which means he doesnt get big money..
I think we should have drafted DeAndre Jordan instead of Dorsey.... Dorsey has no upside and no offense/post up game..

Agreed, this guy has major upside, I just hope he takes it to the whole more. But this guy isn't just a spot up shooter like some believe on here.

I would miss Novak. Not sure why. Maybe its just my rooting for a white guy underdog thing.

Can Joey Dorsey be the next Maxiell??

    Jason Maxiell
    6-7 260 lbs

    Joey Dorsey
    6-7 265 lbs

    Athletic, good rebounder, strong, energetic.

I haven see Joey Dorsey but watching a few clips and reading a few blogs and comments on the draft boards I think he is similar.

    What do you think?
Is he a Maxiell type player?

Looking at the stats on Draftexpress:

Dorsey looks like a complete Morey pick. He's at the top of the charts when it comes to rebounding and blocking shots.

Greene on the other hand is probably an Adelman pick. Greene doesn't measure at the top of the charts at anything (besides shooting the most 3's per shot).

Nah Maxiell was better on the offensive end in college.

Hmm, this makes me feel even better about this trade...

Hollinger rates Greene as #2 wing in draft... behind Alexander, but slightly ahead of Mayo and miles ahead of Lee and Rush. Nice. Morey truly is a stat-head. Looks like all we have to do is look at Hollinger's numbers, and we'll pretty much know who Morey's gonna take, haha.

Hollinger rates him as probably the second best wing in the draft and the 13th best player. And hollinger usually reflects Morey a bit.

possibilty... Maxiell, I think was more polished on the offensive end when he came out of college...I just want Dorsey to play great D and rape Boozer/Millsap/Okur in the paint. If Dorsey can guard Boozer and other bigs who give the Rockets ... I would be satisfied with this pick.

On the defensive side he's more of a Maxiell player. He was the heart and soul of that Memphis team. There is a reason why Kansas cameback and won the National Championship after he fouled out on a bogus foul call. That and missed free throws by CDR and Rose.

Dorsey is nothing but a big goon. He's mentally slow. He'll get into foul trouble constantly and I doubt he ever learns how to stay out of foul trouble. I'm doubtful he makes the team unless Hayes is traded.

Maybe we are gonna send Greene and Hayes to Indy for Rush???
