People who are comparing Donte Green to Novak or Matt Bullard obviously have never seen the kid play.

If we had got CDR I would have been ecstatic.

If midgets end up like Landry, I want an all midget team.

After watching him play for years, I am shocked that he turned out to be so short. The reach point doesn't surprise me because he plays like a 7 footer. He's more athletic than Hayes as well. I think Dorsey will have no trouble playing center in the NBA.

Yeah, I love Greene but Dorsey is a head scratcher, specially since we already have Hayes. Dorsey is a better blocker and a little different but I don't see much of a need or upgrade there. Not when CDR was still available.

I agree. I think he will play there way more than PF. Hopefully people who haven't seen him play or know nothing about will quit comparing him to Chuck Hayes.

when the season ended i thought dorsey might've been our first round pick if his stock grew.

Yao nees pitbulls........Dorsey is an athletic freak, he shut down kevin love in the tourney.........I like the pick, greene on the other hand is a bust waiting to happen .

Its honestly not about your height when you're playing in the post. It's about your strength and reach. See - Charles Barkley

Honestly to me, Dorsey makes Hayes trade bait or vice-versa. Basically, I see no reason to keep both past the trade deadline.

Don't underestimate Dorsey. I love that guy's defensive game. He might be a little small for center, but he can play either frontcourt position and make a huge impact. The Ben Wallace comparisons are spot on.

Here's my question, and it's a simple one:

Can Greene play the 2 at all? I'm not sure about his ballhandling and perimeter D on the pro level.

That's the only thing that makes me slightly uncomfortable about this pick. I didn't want Batum, but if we could've pulled a trade to get Lee or Rush, that would've been nice. T-Mac can obviously play the 2, I just wonder if Greene can. I'm kinda tired of small guards. So here's hoping a 3-man rotation of T-Mac, Battier, and Greene might work eventually.

There's mention of "character issues" with Dorsey. Anyone know the story?

I agree... This kid is not a PF... he is a SF (think Rashard Lewis/Marvin Williams)... he also has good players to learn from in T-Mac and Battier. CDR might have been the wise pick but he had little or no upside. Greene might turn out how Thaddeus Young did last year for the Sixers. Young barley got playing time until late in the season and played well.

Dorsey plays with a mean streak. He's a pit-bull. He'll tear out your liver and eat it in front of you while you lay there dying and watching him swallow. I'm going to love watching this guy protect Yao Ming.

Can Deke? Just because you can't score doesn't mean you can't play.
