turns out it was the wrong prospect they get in return so all of us were fooled.. donte greene explains why they passed on CDR as he is a SF. And dorsey will be a backup ben wallace type(PF/C)

Portland gets batum, Memphis gets Dorsey, and we get Greene and 2009 memphis high 2nd round pick. Great deal in my opinion

You know, this is exactly what I expected from the GM.

This is great! Most here hate the picks so I think we are doing fine.

Last I checked, the Rockets did very well last off season and the same group is still in charge.

They is a plan and whether it is to get best available or some other reason, there is a reason.

Wait till the middle of the season, when the new players (may not even be these 2 picks) play before this draft is proclaimed a bust.

If this allows the rockets to SnT Laundry for a good wing or get a package setup for a major player can still be in play.

I would love the Rockets to keep him but his value may yeal the most out of the sparable parts. If Laundry, BJ and even Battier can be packaged together for a SnT Artest with Sac, would this BBS go thru the roof?

I'm just saying chill out and relax. It's a long summer.

No, Houston gets Dorsey, Greene, and a 2009 2nd round pick from memphis.

25th pick for the 28th and 33rd pick plus a future 2nd round pick. Not bad.

Memphis gets Arthur. The destination of the 54th wasn't stated. Could be either team. My guess is Memphis.

Overall a very successful draft IMO.

Rockets get a "potential" SG/SF with size that they need to back up T-Mac/Battier with Greene. Get a "potential" backup C/PF in Dorsey and an extra pick (most likely a high 2nd rounder) in 2009. Both needs met.

Not to mention the 4 PFs....should be an interesting off season! Lets see how it all pans out.

Great Deal! However you look at it, the rockets moved down a couple of spots, still got their guy, and got the an extra second rounder from Memphis. Great work. Oh yeah, and also moved up a few spots in the second round.

    Question:

Would you rather have Darrel Arthur & CDR or Dorsey & Greene?

My guess is both options were available to rockets, but opted to include Memphis to get Greene.

Arthur and CDR were more experienced and mature picks. When I heard about Arthur having a kidney problem I became concerned. It's possible that it's a minor issue though.
