I'm not going to throw hot coffee on anyone, but can we just take a long hard look at the draft. We drafted a international project which I really didn't understand, but cool and traded him for 2- 6'8 power forwards. I guess I'm hating again though.

Yes it looks like it will be Dorsey and Donte Greene.

    This trade makes more sense.

So...uhhh.... Does anyone know for SURE what's going on? Blineberry's saying one thing, Portland papers saying another.

It didn’t take long for the Rockets to say au revoir to their first round draft pick from France.

Just a short time after taking 19-year-old small forward Nicolas Batum with the No. 25 selection in Thursday’s NBA draft, the Rockets were working to complete a pair of deals that would send away Batum and their second round pick (No. 54) and get two players in return.

Those two players are Donte Greene of Syracuse and Joey Dorsey of Memphis.

Greene, a 6-11 forward, was chosen by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 28th pick in the first round.

Dorsey, who played in the NCAA championship game with the University of Memphis, was taken with the No. 33 pick (second) round by Portland.

Batum will go to the Portland Trail Blazers and the Rockets will also end up with a second round pick from the Grizzlies in 2009.

The Rockets are still waiting for the NBA office to approve the deals.

Greene? He's still a forward. I still don't get it.

Doesn't Dorsey make Hayes expendable? Given that Dorsey is a bigger version of Hayes.

    I...

don't know how to feel, actually...

Greene and Dorsey could mean that Battier and Landry/Scola are expendable.

A Small Forward at 6'9. More likely a backup to either Tmac of Battier.

Well, Memphis is apparently in "Everything MUST GO!" mode to make the team more viable for sale. They probably don't want Green's guaranteed contract. Maybe 54 is all they want.

    WE NEED SHAN FOSTER!

If we could get him at #54 (assuming the pick is still ours), then that would be AWESOME!!

Oh, so Green is the SF that everyone was going nuts over? I saw his height and assumed he was a PF. I don't mind a 6-10 wing.

I kinda wanted that Arthur kid though. I'm still lost on what the hell Memphis gets.

Does GS cryogenically freeze Mullin and thaw him out for draft day? He looks almost the same as he did during his playing days. Few more wrinkles and same bad crewcut.
