On the bright side, it's not like Batum is a bad player. The guy's got potential. And on the ESPN Draftcast interview, he seemed pretty psyched to be coming over to Houston and said he would play in the NBA asap.

What is going on? Rox's have to be working on a trade. The 55th pick is worthless.

Fox Sports 26 just confirmed that the Rockets are working on a trade and waiting for league approval. They did not mention what the trade was....

I have been telling everyone at my draft party that the Rockets would take either CDR or Omer Asik with the 36th pick.

Asik is one of the best players in the draft, but he's got a long-term deal in Turkey. This is a Luis Scola-type situation. A few years from now, the Rockets may have a quality backup center. Or maybe even a decent starter-quality center.

    Here's a snippet from ESPN:

Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress reports: "I was just informed by the Trailblazers that Nicolas Batum was traded by Houston to Portland in exchange for the rights to Darrell Arthur and one of Portland's early second round picks." Chad Ford confirms he has heard the same thing, and the second-round pick that is in the deal is the 33rd, which was Memphis big man Joey Dorsey.

Could there be a deal with Memphis? maybe Mike Miller?

The real trade is with the Nets: Battier + Battum for Carter + CDR....

    (btw this is sarcasm)
