I belive that was a bad decision by Nets to trade him for Yi and Simmons.

Maybe Jefferson ain't great but he is still a consistand scorer in this leauge who is really great at getting to the foul line (Rockets needs that btw).

I know it was only Yi's first year and he has been playing great for China but he is not consistant AT ALL. One night he can go 11/11 and score 30, the other he can be something like 1/10.

I can only hope his 2nd year will be better, he has a big potential.

Yikes... KD is right whoa is a good description.

That my friends has to be why they did it. They are major stock piling for LeBron. Plus if they are as bad as its possible that they could be in 08-09 then they are going to get a lotto pick next year to go with that group.

Multitude of young players, plus Vince and the Yi exposure and a big salary. Think thats enough to make Lebron a member of the Nets roster?

At the time of the draft, Eddie Griffin was hyped as 1 of 4 guys that could go first overall, all of whom were selling teams on major potential. At the time, star potential with super young guys meant way more than a very good guy that was established.

We thought we pulled off a blockbuster with EG, though he obviously became a horrific bust, along with Kwame Brown and Eddy Curry.

Few drafts would be as totally reworked in hindsight as this one. Gilbert Arenas went in the second round, Tony Parker was the bottom of the first.

There were major steals and major busts all over the place. We busted. Part of it was also because of Rudy T's insatiable obsession over finesse bigs that could shoot with range. We made at least a dozen bad roster moves during his tenure because of his quest to find them.

Given the state of limbo of the NJ-Brooklyn-somewhere in between Nets/Swamp Dragons/Whatever - which will turn on a number of government agencies, budgetary issues, credit market issues, and all sorts of other factors - that's a lot of eggs to put in the LeBron Basket.

If the Atlantic Yard deal doesn't materialize (really who knows?) Then they're stuck in Jersey, having alienated their smallish fanbase by running out a crap team for two years. Then where too? St. Louis? Who knows.

How about we make a run at Vince Carter? since they want to clear their cap space to sign Lebron James....

I knew something would happen. The gm came on sirrius and said the team was too offensive and the front line was soft. I knew one of their frontline was going to be shaken up. Charlie V is also going to be traded. Yi is just another soft international big guy. Most of those guys would rather shoot 3's instead of mixing it up inside and getting dirty.

lol at Bucks organization, so much promise and hype for Yi before drafting him.

I watched several bucks games and I am not sure why everyone is calling Yi a

bust. Remember Yao's rookie year in Houston he's got the same fatigue problem

; plus Yi got some injury problems here and there while CV took over the

starting position. You are crazy if you think Bucks are gonna do some damage

next year with RJ. Poor Yi, he should've never compromised Bucks organization.

    I feel bad for him.

Shocking trade. Bogut played really well for stretches last year, if he can continue that level of play and they get a good PF in the draft i'll definitely enjoy watching them more next year.

Not so terrible if they end up with Lebron James in 2 yrs. This I guarrantee is what's happening with Jay-Z pulling the string with Lebron approval.
