Trading Head to move up 7 spots post-lotto is actually not getting his worth. Head is more valuable than 7 spots. I don't even like Head. But he is more valuable than that.

I know who he is, I just don't think he'll have a place on this team. He's too weak and lanky to play C and we're stacked at PF right now. He's also a project, but expires next season. He wouldn't get enough playing time to warrant re-signing him, thus he would be a pointless acquisition (in terms of actually playing).

this was on the espn chat with Chad Ford today.

Ken (New Braunfels, TX): Is there any truth to the rumor that the Rockets are trading their pick at 25 along with Luther Head, to the Wizards for their pick at 18??

Chad Ford: (2:01 PM ET ) The Wizards and Rockets have had talks but nothing is done. I do think the Wizards are trying to move this pick ... they're talking to several teams in the 20s but Rockets look like their best option right now.

So maybe there is an inkling of a real rumor here.

Screw the trade and let's see if they bite on a Head/25 for Nick Young offer.

While I 99++++% doubt this 'rumor' I will say that Head's contract off the cap would be worth seven spots down in the draft. The Rox are too close to lux land and still have Landry to sign BEFORE any hoped-for positive tweaks.

    +1

Courtney Lee, to me, looks like Brandon Roy-Lite. Very fundamentally sound, decent ball handler, good all around player, can drive, good outside and mid-range game.

if true, they could be moving up to grab one of the big guys (hibbert, ajinca, speights).

i don't see Lee as a value pick at 18, but we'll see.

IF this report were true, IF - then, if Lee and Rush are both 'there' who do the Rox take? Or is there a third (or fourth or...) targeted player?

Rush, no doubt about it. Supposedly the Rockets were trying to move up to get Donte Greene too.
