    The NBA Draft is tonight, starting at 6pm televised on ESPN. The live monster chat for Rockets fans in the ClutchFans chat room will also be underway. I will be at the Toyota Center covering the draft and I expect to join in the chat for much of the draft.

    We would all like to see Rush, CDR, Greene, or Batum, but Houston GMs always surprise us

    i've read crazy things from greene to speights. honestly, i would rather grab a veteran wing rather than rely on a rookie to be the third scorer on this team.

    grab a backup center for the future in the draft and make the trade with detroit to bring billups and rip/prince in!

    It's funny how so many people get caught up in the sexy names - CDR, Rush, Batum, etc.

    I'm almost positive we'll get someone who nobody really knows anything about (unless we move up), and then everybody's going to be disappointed because the guy doesn't have a cool name so they didn't look him up on DraftExpress.


    That said, I'm hypocritically hoping for CDR :D

    Yeh I have the same expectations as you. I want CDR, but it wouldn't surprise me if Morey picks somebody we hardly know anything about. I know last year completely caught me off guard.

    Yeah. I was at dNb when we drafted brooks. Reaction was:


    "Who the hell? A PG? We have Mike james, steve francis and that other scrub skip already. WTF?????"

    So yeah, look how it turned out. Pretty sure it's going to be a big surprise.
