Didnt see a post about it. If I missed it, lock her up. Nothing final, but it is being discussed. Per ESPN bottom line. Bad trade for Detroit in my opinion. Looks like they have decided the old formula doesnt work.
oh come on... not golden state... west just gets better and better. golden state should look after chauncey and prince. harrington isn't their problem, though rasheed is better. but, their defense is horrible. prince would help alot.
Why would the Warriors do this? They play a run and gun style of basketball, Rasheed Wallace and Billups don't fit, both are getting old and wont be able to get up and down the court quickly.
But they can't get Tmac for Chauncey and Rasheed. They only way they would get Tmac from me is with Rip and Prince.
? they may be old, but hell. davis is old as well. this is perfect for the warriors to improve. wallace spreads the floor better than harrington. and can play some defense. billups can still run and know what to do with the ball when its in half court set. to me, davis is better than billups for the warriors, but adding rasheed is very valuable. you can now trade harrington or biedrins for other needs. or keep them, and have a pretty solid frontcourt.
Trade? Dumars says only Stuckey is not on the block and yet he'd bring Baron D to D - troit? gimme a break. D - umb rumor. Chauncey and Rip - TMac? I'd believe that one lots sooner and I'm not buying it, either (unless it gets Rox into the Top 6, of course).
Yeah but the teams they were on sucked. Well not sure if Seattle would of sucked that year if Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis stayed healthy.
... to the same team. east always have 1-3 good teams, and the rest are borderline playoff teams - scrubs.
If I had to rank PGs Billups and Davis are extremely close. Especially when you factor in Davis' injury history. So Detroit would add Wallace to boot? Don't think so. If this is serious look for Brendan Wright to be headed to Detroit.
I would have to rank Davis better than Billups based on the fact BD is more athletic, younger, and a better passer. I still don't take anything from Billups as he has the one the BD doesn't...a ring.
Dumars is a genius. He ships out two of his oldest players for an expiring contract of about 17 million. If Davis stays healthy, that pans out for them in staying competitive...not championship caliber...but competitive enough that they get Maxiell and Stuckey more playing time and won't be a lottery bound team. If Davis decides to mail it in, he's off the books after next season and give the Pistons a lot of cap room. Works out well for Golden State too. They get a pure point guard that can be a very good 1-2 punch with Monta Ellis and Rasheed Wallace is the power forward they've needed since Webber pissed off Nellie the FIRST time around. Biedrins Wallace Jackson Ellis Billups wow.
for all the talk of Maxiell and getting him more minutes - not on the BBS but on the Pistons side of things - haven't DET still got a upcoming beast of a player in Amir Johnson? I remember quite a few people wanted the Rocks to look at him last offseason. He couldnt get a look-in with the current Pistons team, and doesnt figure to next season with McDyess and Maxiell (and possibly Rasheed) likely still there ahead of him. Long athletic PF, maybe he could be worth a look on the cheap?
