Anyone heard anything on Newley, Sergei Lishouk, or Eliyahu?

Or even G. Green? Anyone we aren't thinking about that may contribute?

Lior Eliyahu played for the Maccabi Elite this year. They lost in the Euroleage final against CSKA Moscow. He was a role player in the team.

He had a good game in the semi-final against the Siena, he logged 8 points and 6 rebs in 16 mins.

    Euroleage stats

He's still too young for the NBA but he's great upside (athletic, skilled big men).

It looks like Newley is starting on his greek team Panionios.

11.1 PPG and almost 5 RPG. Not bad.

Newley will most likely be facing off against Kobe & Wade on August 5th in a pre-Olympics warm up match. This game probably won't help his NBA aspirations much.

Morey was asked today about Lior and Brad and said both were expected to be playing for their national teams and thats fine by the rockets. Not likely to see either one on summer league teams and not likely to see either in camp this year.

Not so good for Eliyahu? Israel didn't qualify for the Olympics and he spent the past season on the pine. Maybe the Rockets want him to improve more before having another look at him?
