Is it awkward to date someone with the same name as one of your siblings/close relatives? There's this one girl I like, and she's cool and all, except for her name! ahhhhhh!! its the same as my sister!! Opinions?
Maybe, Ive asked this question before to some people at my school and they were like "hell no i wouldn't date them" so idk.
my wife and sister have the same name, but spelled differently. it is not awkward for me at all... ..but maybe your brain is going somewhere else.
The amount of crap you put up with is inversely proportionate with the level of hotness. Hence...pics? We will determine if she is worth being called 'Dad' in bed.
Well i guess it depends. since i am indian my sister has a pretty unique name here in america so it would kind of weird me out if I met another girl here named that. my mom on the other hand is named Tara (but pronounced differently than how its pronounced here) which is somewhat common here and in India. That made it always hard for me to call a girl that. like in my high school there was this really hot girl named Tara a grade below me, I always wanted to ask her out as I heard she found me to be a funny guy but never could bring myself around to doing it because I had hard time saying her name, it made me feel uncomfortable. but thats about it for me if it was like a name of a cousin it wouldnt bother me at all.
A friend of mine married a girl with the same first name as his mom, so after the marriage, his mom and wife had the exact same name. Not the end of the world, but just a touch creepy.
