I like him. I hear he is a Free Agent.

He is defensive minded and not as old
    as Derek Harper.

We need a Stopper at the 1 spot sometimes
He can hit the 3 too.

Anthony is OK, but I would rather save the money for front line people and have Norris and Mobley handle the back-up duty at the point. Another thing about Anthony, he is only going to get worse from here on out, and I don't think he will age as gracefully as say Porter has (being another older, modestly sized, modestly quick PG).

I would love to have Anthony. He is a solid backup PG (maybe the best in the league now that Darrell Armstrong is starting - sorry Moochie lovers [IMG])and an adequate starting PG. As we all saw in last years play-offs, he was put in instead of Damon "Mighty Mouse" Stoudamire in the clutch moments, mainly because of his stifling defense and stabilizing influence. I still have doubts on his 3-point capabilities but he has a consistent mid-range J, and is decent at getting his teammates involved.
However, Houston would not be the best fit for him or vice-versa. The biggest asset he would bring to this team his experience that could make Francis' transition into the NBA smoother, and fill-in for Stevie for injuries or irratic play. But there is no way Rudy is going to place Francis on the bench for long, and therefore Anthony would not get the minutes, which would be a waste of a player of his calibre. Besides, what about Moooooooooochie??! This season would have been the time to acquire a veteran PG (ala Harper) Like Sir Scarv said, we should spend our money on acquring SFs, and PFs.

Damn do I make a short post long! [IMG]

A good addition to any team, however, we are a bit stacked at the PG spot.

Nope, don't want him. Same reason we need to trade Bryce Drew. When you have a 22 year old superstar at a position, it's better to spend your money upgrading a different position (small forward, perhaps?).

I hate him for 2 reasons:

    1) I drafted UNLV's Hunt instead of Anthony in my fantasy league and have paid the price ever since. Man, hunt could shoot. Sorry NBA player though. So I blame Anthony for making him look good.

    2) Anthony, despite my hex, has continually gotten better every year. He makes me sick.

No way, we dont need no steekin Blazer pg!

We got the flavor of the month Moochie, and he's our new back up saviour.
