I don't know about Brandon Rush, CDR or Courtney Lee, but I'm sure they will be good pick. Any SG will be okay. I don't think you can pick a 1st round rookie worse than Head.
IMHO, what makes this draft difficult is Morey. In order to show the colour of $ball, he's very likely to draft by talent, not position. He may not draft a SG. Any other position is gambling. God bless Rox.

portland makes the most logical candidate.

they made an offer for shane last summer (outlaw/jack). they don't need another lotto pick and they've been open about making #13 available.

the warriors (#14) and suns (#15)are probably very interested in rush.

he's a top 5 pick and a potential all-star so no way we can get him.

rush is a very good player and he would be a great back up in his first yr as he can play 10-15 mins a game backing up tracy.

westbrook is also very good and he can back up alston. his size alone makes him better than brooks.

I wonder if Head + 25th pick can get the 16th pick from 76ers? They lost a sharp shooter in Kover, and Head is very good at 3pt range too...

I don't know if they would want Head especially after his miserable playoff performance but the gap between the 16th and the 25th isn't huge. For example Kosta Koufos might be there at 16 vs Hibbert possibly at 25. The gap between Rush at let's say 16 and Lee if he falls to 25 isn't that big either.

Young bigs with supposedly greater upside like JaVale McGee,or Alexis Ajinca might be available in the 16th-18th range vs Hibbert or even Nathan Jawai and Serge Ibaka.

"You know how in a golf tournament they call Saturday moving day?" General Manager Kevin Pritchard said. "Well, I feel like Monday or Tuesday is moving day. We're building up to moving day and then a lot of stuff happens over the next two days. So we're getting closer to having some things that we feel like are in the pipeline. Now it's just a matter of deciding which ones we like."

If this is the calm before the storm, it was hardly a peaceful day. Six draft prospects -- including probable lottery selections Brandon Rush of Kansas and Anthony Randolph of LSU -- were on hand for two predraft workouts Saturday at the Blazers' Tualatin practice facility.

Rush impressed Pritchard and coach Nate McMillan with his NBA-ready physique, above average shot, solid defensive abilities and versatility, and the consensus is that the junior from Kansas will be an immediate contributor in the NBA next season.

"He's ready-made for the NBA right now," Pritchard said. "He can come in and help a team right now. He can shoot it and he can defend. He's a spot-up shooter, which every team needs, and he can defend multiple positions. I think he can defend (small forwards, shooting guards) and maybe even a little point guard."

Added McMillan: "He's very athletic, competes, he can score ... I think he's a solid player. I think he's one of those guys that can see some time right away next year ... you can put him out on the floor because of his skill level."

Rush, who is a target for the Blazers at No. 13 according to at least one mock draft, said this was his 10th -- and last -- predraft workout. He planned to immediately return home to Chicago, where he has spent time preparing for the draft with a random sampling of NBA players and draft prospects, including USC freshman O.J. Mayo and Miami Heat veteran Dwyane Wade.

Notable: McMillan and General Manager Kevin Pritchard say Rush will play immediately next season in the NBA. He had a stellar career at Kansas, averaging 13.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and more than two assists per game while earning Big 12 Freshman of the Year honors and twice being a finalist for the Wooden Award. During his junior season, Rush was a first-team All-Big 12 selection and averaged 13.3 points and 5.1 rebounds. He shot 43.5 percent from three-point range during his three-year college career. This is the third time he has gone through the NBA draft process. He withdrew his name from draft consideration last year after suffering a knee injury and decided to attend college after testing the draft waters in 2005 out of high school. His brother, Kareem, was a two-time All-Big 12 first-team selection at Missouri and his brother, JaRon, played at UCLA.

McMillan's comment are interesting. For no real reason I keep on thinking he's not that high on Fernandez/Euros.

Then again this is pre-draft talk. They're likely talking up Rush to fish for trade offers.
