Wonderfully done by Turkey, horribly done by Croatia! To miss the goal entirely on two penalties is insane and Rustu made a great save on that last one.

and that, my friends, is why pk's suck. i feel bad for croatia but hey, three missed kicks  . now, a severely undermanned turkey is dead meat against germany.

This is Euro, meaning only European teams play. Only in the rare Bizarro Euro would the US play.

well that makes sense. but it seems pretty "bizarro" to say turkey is in europe.

i mean if i said i was going to europe next week and the other person said where and i said turkey they may look at me a little weird.

I'd like to think so - but there is no way you can count this Turkish team out of it.

With this Turkish team, you can't say they are dead meat until the game is over. I thought they were dead meet against Czech at 72', and again today at 119', but MAN.......

    This team is just unbelievable!

I am worried that Turkey's gig may be up against Germany, considering that another one of their players got another yellow card today and will be out due to accumulation next game. The announcers did mention that they are appealing their starting keeper's two game suspension, so if the second game is reprieved, they are a little stronger. Believe me, I really dislike the Germans and would love nothing more than to have Turkey of all teams knock them out, but I don't think this will happen. Then again, I thought Croatia would eventually win today.

WOW, that was a pathetic 118 minutes of a game, though those last 5 minutes absolutely rocked!!!!!! :D

Germany will destroy these guys though, they’ve got 4 regular’s out next game, Tuncay will be missed the most in my opinion, he so solid in midfield.... They’ve got to be mad lucky to make it happen and that’s the only reason why I wouldn’t bet against them, it just seems like everything goes their way...never say never with these guys.

I am in awe right now, that is absolutely remarkable....But actually 4 regular starters will miss the game against Germany if the goalie's suspension is reduced than it's only 3. And the 3 missing are actually some of their top players Arda Turan, Emre, and Tuncay but at this point the momentum they're riding it doesn't really matter who plays and who doesn't. Btw that free kick save by Rustu in regular time was AMAZING as well.

You are obviously a Man U fan but what you said there is so ridiculous that it is not even funny. What's wrong with choosing the team that he wants to play after his current contract expires? Yeah it sucks that he doesn't want to play for your team. But he will not be under contract when he picks the team that he choose to play it. Deal with it.

Fading career? Are you crazy? The guy is only 23 years old and is arguably the best soccer player in the world today.Wait at least another 5 years before you start hoping his career to fade. Patience is your friend.

Since when has the La Liga become 2nd rated? If you talk to 100 unbiased soccer fans, I think at least 95 of them would say La Liga is the best league in the world.

I like the Man U too but having to be associated with fellow Man U fans like you sometimes make me think twice before I admit it to the other people.

Going into the shootout - I knew Turkey would win.

Croatia was already celebrating victory before the game was tied. They went from ecstatic to dejected...even though they were in the same position as 2 minutes earlier. While Croatia was complaining about the missed sub and hanging their heads, Turkey was preparing for victory...and hardly celebrating their goal like Croatia was a bit earlier (acting like it was over)...

...Turkey knew there was more to do before they won. Croatia should have thought the same after their lead goal.

The problem is that he isn't quieting these rumors...and he still has FOUR YEARS left on his contract. He shouldn't have the right to leave Man U...

...Nonetheless, Red Devil fans need to shut up about saying C Ronaldo/Real Madrid are doing a horrible thing. How did they get Tevez again?
