So other teams know exactly what Luther can be... do you think that its just a bad mismatch with Utah that has us all frustrated with him.

Do you think we don't give him enough credit?

Is he really such a waste of roster space so that you would just "give" him away for little to nothing in return?

He's a decent, limited role player. I have stated a few times that he would be a great 6th man on a bad team. When given the minutes and the shots against average or poor defenses he can put up nice numbers. I don't think it's unrealistic at all for him to average 13-14 points of the bench for a bad team.

Fortunately for the Rockets, they are not a bad team. They need guys who can perform in the playoffs and Luther just has not shown any evidence that he will ever do that.

I think he has good value to some teams out there but he doesn't belong here.

He is bad as the backup SG; he isn't quick enough, can't finish well enough, can't dribble well enough, to makeup for his lack of size. He is a good role/situational player who can hit the 3 very well when he is confident. But he will continue to get abused by the taller SGs that are found all over the western conference.

He would be fine playing 10-15mpg feeding off Yao in the post. Assuming Head doesn't have to guard someone who will abuse him at the other end. We probably do undervalue him, teams would love to have a shooter. But the way we use him he becomes a liability.

I wonder how Head would perform in the playoffs against some other team other than the Jazz. If he still stinks it up then, then yes; he's a waste.

I do like him during the regular season though.

he spreads the floor and nothing else.

he's had some good games in his career but overall fails to significantly improve from one year to the next during the duration of his rookie contract.

    he's worth 7ppg and 40% from 3.

Shhh, lets not let other teams know he sucks in the playoffs, shall we?

He's still a young, valuable trade bait.

Home team fan's always I think over-value their players

if we think Head sucks then he probably worst.

We think Brooks is the next best pg

Scola and Landry are future stars.

We even think Novak is the next Peja.

He's basically a r****ded Ben Gordon, and when the playoffs come around he becomes a comatose Ben Gordon.

He's the one player I'm really hoping the Rockets use to move up in the draft.

I actually think if he regains his 2006-2007 form, he could be good trade bait. Hopefully he plays an excellent (shooting wise) season prior to the trade deadline and gets us a solid contributor, while Head will fade yet again for whoever he plays for in the playoffs. Let's not forget his shot wasn't dropping because he changed his shooting form last year.

Trade him, I have seen enough from him. First I really liked him. I still think he is a great shooter. The problem is he can't creat his own shoot, the only thing he can do is to SHOOT.

Right now I would take Novak instead of him. Luther makes me feel sick, especially in the playoffs.

He was something like 1-14, wasn't he? Remember when he got blocked on 3-1 fast break.

    TRADE HIS A$$

First, Hayesfan...thanks for starting the thread...really appreciate it because I'm still a rookie :D .

Guys I criticize luther a lot too...but when Tracy went out he played above decent with just Yao.

I don't know what the hell happens to this guy in the playoffs, he looks like a toddler afraid to get in the pool. It has to be something about Utah.. i know it.

His first year he was a do it all type of player kind of like this, but i think he concentrated too much on 3 pt shooting last off season. I say, give him one more chance, he has time to redeem himself.
