Portugal Germany 0-2 What a surprise, the germans have not been playing good, but when it counts they play great. This will be difficult for Portugal. Germany, Italy those are the teams that always play good when it counts. you have to respect that. I'm rooting for the finals of Germany-Netherlands. I will be very surprised if the semi finals will not be Germany- Croatia netherlands- Italia
I wish they would not stop play when someone is laying on the pitch....just continue on..... I know it is good sportsmanship, but so many players fake it to stop momentum.... I would just tell the other team before the match, we are not stopping, you want us to stop...get the ball. Also Portugal is getting inside Germany's defense.....I would not be surprised if they come back and make this a match. DD
Germany has an easy road to the final if they win this they should win the semi, too. I'm pulling for Spain don't want to see Italy win. Netherlands have been so fun to watch hopefully they blow away Russia.
Yup, it ruins games! When guys just lay on the floor and get up after a stoppage like nothing happened it's soooo annoying. They should not stop play anymore untill an actual stoppage happens, like the ball going out of bounds or for a corner.. If the team with the hurt player knocks it out give it back for sportsmanship otherwise they should keep it.
Totally agree. It looked like Germany was pressing for a 3-0 and all the Portugal players held their hands up in disgust until the Germans kicked it out of bounds. Then, sure enough, a minute later the "injured" player is up and running. It did look like he tweaked his knee a bit - but it's not like he would have had any influence on the play anyways.
That goal should have been disallowed, he pushed off big time.... He looked like Carloss Boozer there. DD
Agreed....so far...Ballack pushed off, and Portugal was called offside on the equalizer and he was not offside. DD
That happens a lot. Ferrira is partially to be blamed as well. He should have stayed on his ground no matter what. The entire Portugal backline is completely out powered today.
it's over. germans deserved to win as they exploited portugal's weaknesses. deco and ferreira with subpar games, ronaldo, eh. big phil should have put nani in sooner. as it was portugal didn't finish their chances and germany did.
