I've decided to give plenty of time for every GM to decide on offers for FA's.

You do not have to be present in the chatroom to make bids, I can add bids to the game whenever you want me to.

I've also increased the salary cap 5M, so some teams are now above the cap that were originally below and have lost their exceptions.

Just a reminder, you can offer a 4.5M contract, a 1.2M contract, or a minimum contract if you are below the cap.

If you are above the cap, you can offer anything that fits with your capspace.

Just e-mail me bids, I'd really prefer you not wait till the last second and assault me with multiple bids, just drop me an e-mail at eye_saw_red@hotmail.com with your bids.

    Thanks...

If I have cap room, how do I offer it, can I offer the room + an exception, ie. if I have 2 million left, am I restricted to 2 mill a year, or can I offer 6.5? It would seem silly to be penalized for being under the cap...

If you're under the cap, you have no exceptions. You're restricted to 2M in your example.

This is how the NBA works...:)

    NEWSFLASH

I'm a moron, and I just found out that the teams that are above the cap, but below 4.5M do have exceptions.

The spurs, jazz, pistons, sonics, magic, and nets all have a 4.5M exception.

The magic and nets also have a 1.2M exception.

Sorry for any misunderstandings. You guys all have an exception, and some of you have 2...

Looking at the list of FA's, I see "draft" under last team. Are these undrafted rookies?

Kickass. All I really need is another decent player for my bench, so now I don't have to make any trades. If I can't be there tommorow I'll email you a list.

Actually some of them are some of them are not. The way the game was set up. The roster set we are using had some players that were Free Agents at the start of season one(for example Arvydas Sabonis). A lot of those guys were signed but some of them weren't. If a player was a FA at the beginning of season 1 and was not signed he still has draft by his name. But I only see 2 examples of that right now. Geiger and Big Country.

Is FA bidding a secret? I would bet if I wanted some guy in FA his agent and the media would have a good idea where the level of his contract were at.

I have a couple of guys I would want, but I do not want to throw more money than needed at them :)

FA bidding is a secret heath, an agent's job is to try to get as much money as possible for his player.

The only way YOU the GM could find out his market value is by asking other GM's. The media only finds out about offers because of leaks, I guess you should ask around and hope some kind soul will tell you what they're offering player x...:)

If I need to cut anyone to sign a free agent, please cut Lucios Harris, and Steve Kerr. In that order, and no more than those two.
