one that i havent seen posted yet... i thought the jim jackson/david wesley trade was a TERRIBLE move
at the time... i thought waiting to sign webber first before signing hakeem was a good move. errrr..... webber screwed us... and a few other teams who were waiting to sign him. i look back now... dammit i'm pissed hakeem played even one game for another team.
Shandon Anderson over the Cat Thinking McGrady was the answer Expecting return visits from Houston Fans downunder Battier for Gay
I thought Eddie Griffith would give us more than what we got for 3 1st round draft picks including Richard Jefferson who stopped Jason Richardson in a college.
You pity you fools. I, on the other hand, have never been wrong about anything, especially Rockets-related.
Thought Eric Meek would make the team...(no I didnt) Remember thinking to myself drafting Randy Livingston is the PERFECT low risk high reward pick to make, and the Rockets would benefit nicely....
I thought we shoulda traded away the #1 pick in 02.... Ming had to many entanglements and we didnt need Jay Williams Thought Maloney would be solid for years to come Thought Griffin would be the man ..... and I thought Scottie Quittin pretty much assurred us a dynasty.
I thought Steve Novak could be new Peja Stojakovic, instead JVG gave him zero time on the court, much same as the Adelman.
I thought we should trade our #1 pick for a good veteran big man and not gamble on a 7'6 "stiff" from China. Last year's preseason, I thought the three rookies (Novak, Spanoulis, Lucas) would make an impact.
I am an idiot because I believed Steve Francis would make a bigger impact coming back to Houston. I was a big fan of Steve during his earlier years and believed he could elevate us to the level of contenders. I am still an idiot because I still think Steve Francis would contribute next season. I am an idiot for being optimistic?
I am an idiot because as a little kid, at Rudy T's summer camp, he did a Q&A, and I asked him if James Bailey was the key to rebuilding the Rockets' future. PS -- so a gym full of other kids laughed at me, but Rudy was all class about it and called it a "good question" before finding a very gentle way to tell me why I was an idiot asking an idiotic question. Such a great guy, seriously.
