or should I say light skinned guys (American & European). I'm watching the Dallas-Sacramento game & was amazed at the number of light skinned players on the floor. When you consider that the NBA is predominately dominated by black athletes, this is a most unusual occurrence. There's no real point to this thread. I just thought that it was funny looking, seeing so many white guys on the floor at the same time. Dallas has 8 black players & 7 white players on their roster. Sacramento has 7 black players & 5 white players on their roster. 12 white players, with 7-8 of them making significant contributions, on two teams is simply amazing. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
If You look at Dallas they have A German dude , A Chinese dude, A Mexican Dude, a Canadian Dude, and the other players who are white and black . Thats one Diverse team
Shawn Bradley is a disgrace to white people. He's basically the reason everyone thinks tall white players are stiffs.
So how would you count Doug Christie? I look forward to the day when this kind of stuff seems so unimportant as to not even be worthy of a thread.
I remember you guys mocking a JAZZ WEBSITE for posting a similiar thread about white people playing - What has become of this site? I feel ashamed.. -LTF
What I get sick and tired of is why Wally Szczerbiak can only be only be compared to Tom Chambers and Larry Bird just because he is white.
In answer to your question, I assumed Christie to be black. Let's not turn this thread into a negative racial thing. In a sport that is dominated by superior athletes, the majority of which just happen to be black, I just felt that it was an unusual sight to see so many good white players on the floor at the same time. It made me snicker, because I'm conditioned to seeing the sport dominated by black men & this particular game just stood out to me. There's no conspiracy or underlying meaning here.
Sacramento has to have a bunch of white guys on the team. No choice. Has to. Without question. The brothers don't want to play there. One player (I'm sorry, can't remember his name) called Sacramento the "armpit of the NBA." Of course, winning might change things. But the urban landscape is more familiar terrain for black hoopsters. (Unless they can find no other team that can pay them a first-year salary of $12.5 mil with 12% increases every year...) Bucolic Sacramento, on the other hand, is a better fit for the European players Hedo, Floppy Divac, and Peja.
