That clip is dead on. The revisionist anti-war libs are so incredibly dishonest with their arguments. It's disgusting. Talk about a lack of integrity...

 

I'm not a big fan of the "revisionist" anti-war folks either; I prefer those who recognized and warned of the follies and dangers of this war from the start. There are several examples of those sorts here and Obama's one as well. But the "revisionist" anti-war types are considerably preferable to the ones who still act like this was a good idea or who continue to say they're for "winning" but refuse to say what would constitute a "win."

You are anti-ANY WAR. So coming out against Iraq doesn't reflect any type of good judgment on your part, or Baracks's for that matter. It just means you were true to your anti-war tendencies, regardless of the merits.

And furthermore, Barack never was put to a vote on Iraq. Your basis for saying he was against the war was a speech he made to some love-in hippies in San Francisco. Typical political pandering from a guy who needed to make a name for himself. Meaningless as an indicator of his judgment.

 

Also what you guys are forgetting is that Saddam was giving full access to the weapons inspectors. They could go anywhere in the country and check it out. We were watching every corner of his operation with satellites and planes and we couldn't find any proof of wrongdoing. Then Bush decided he was bored of inspections and decided to invade.

These clips you post are mostly democrats in favor of inspections.. not democrats in favor of pulling inspectors out and putting our troops in danger.

 

This is a ridiculous lie. He booted the inspectors out, for goodness sake. Give us all a break with this trash.

 

That must have been in the famous Chicago neighborhood of San Francisco where they have that important California landmark, the Federal Plaza, where a bunch of agencies that for some reason work in the Midwest reside.

 

A couple of things.

1. Believing Saddam had WMD, isn't the same thing as being pro-war.

But as for Obama he was against the war since before it began. He was correct when many people in the clip were wrong.

2. George Bush at the time of the vote to authorize said the authorization would keep the peace.

Those were his words.

So was Bush lying when he said that?

It's not always clear if tj is just blatantly lying because he doesn't think anyone will call him on it, or if he so far gone that he has convinced himself that his preferred version of history actually occurred.

 

This seems like a good place for this quote from Obama in regards to the Bush administration:

By the way, I love the hypocrisy on display in that quoted Obama speech -- name calling and unabashed partisanship -- all of this from the pseudo-post partisan candidate. What a hypocrite. And how gullible his low information followers must be to buy into that false advertising...
