- Believed Derick Chievous when he proclaimed he "could score on any one" - Believed Mike(?) jamerson when he said he could hit the open J from anywhere - thought Bryce drew was the return of Mark Price - believed in Cato - was excited to get Shandon anderson away from Utah - loved it when we got Mo Taylor... but most of all. every year i say that is it i will not follow this team anymore, and every octoboer i am back cheering for them
Oh boy.... 1) Thought getting Mike James the second time around was going to be incredible 2) Thought Francis would end up starting on his comeback tour 3) Thought there was no way in hell Rafer could arguably be our team MVP during the 22 game streak 4) Hated drafting Brooks 5) Loved the Stro signing 6) Thought we needed to hang onto Derek Anderson 7) Loved the Eddie Griffin trade 8) Loved the Barkley trade/Pippen signing (note: I know most people love the Barkley trade. I kind of resent it since we made that deal specifically to beat a team like Utah and we didn't) 9) Thought Glen Rice was going to be a 15-20 PPG scorer for us
That about sums it up for me. I also thought Francis would eventually become an elite scorer, averaging close to 30 ppg as soon as he got over his meniere's disease.
I expected a LOT more out of Stromile Swift when we had him and Steve Francis and Mike James this year.
The 2nd trade for Mike James is gonna put us over the top especially with his penetration and 3pt shooting which Minnestota terribly mismanged!!
Thought Yao could only be little better than Bradly, and warned Rockets fans don't set expectation too high on Yao in my ClutchFans BBS post.
AHAHAHA Two Sammiches?! I actually liked him as a player...until he refused to go back into a losing game. Not cool, Two Sandwiches, even if hearing Murphy explain your nickname every game was hilarious.
I was so excited when i heard the rumors about the dream coming back on april 1st... still kinda upset about that sick sick joke!!!
I thought Richard Anderson on the roster circa 1987-88 had a chance to be a poor man's Larry Bird. Does anybody else remember that guy? He had games where he really flashed a lot of talent. I was clearly wrong.
So did I. If there was ever a player that could only play well in one particular system, he was it. It sure wasn't our system. I was an idiot.
Yao Ming will be a bust! Which by itself wasn't so unique, but I did make an elaborate post about a big trade designed to get us Mike Dunlavey for the pick.
I thought Alston's bad play over the last few years had nothing to do with the situation and coaching, and everything to do with him. I thought he was going to go 1 for 50 in the playoffs. I also believed we had a good team when Les proclaimed the Dan Langhi team was going to be great.
